That route would include the segment of Subterranean where you have to get past a long corridor of Miros birds, but that would be the hard part I think. It would skip all of Garbage Wastes and possibly Drainage System depending on how far you go into Subterranean, so yeah, could be worth it. The bottom part of Shoreline to get to that gate is a pain too with the swimming, but not impossible.

When you die your karma wheel rolls down, when you successfully hunt enough food and hibernate it rolls up. You need a minimum karma level, written in the background, to pass through each gate. Then you just stand in place next to the door and wait a few seconds. A karma flower prevents a roll-down for one death and will spawn at the death location (and eventually back where it originally spawned). You might expect to spend a lot of the game at karma level 1, then after acclimating to an area's challenges spend a few cycles grinding back up to pass through a gate.

Oh definitely not. I played through several times before this. By the time I did this, I probably had around 100 or so hours in the game.

i thought it would be pretty obvious since you’ve gotta eat something, usually the scavenger corpses. and when you grab it to eat it, you’d probably see your karma increase (unless you’re just not looking at the bottom left close enough). that should be enough clues that you’re meant to take the corpse and use its karma to get through a gate.

lol, believe it or not, I never did use dev tools, but this was definitely not my first attempt. I did a run before this where I died a ton, did some exploring, and really did a bunch of trial and error to get the efficient path down.

It’s an easier way to make lizards scared of you. It just won’t work on lizards that were subject to it for minutes in the same room

it does matter. certain regions lead to certain major parts of the game, best route imo is industrial complex, chimney canopy, and the wall. for the final part, i use drainage system although farm arrays is fine too

Is it because you repeatedly stumble into actual dead-ends and dont know where to go because you are playig actually blind? Dont worry, 90% of people recommending playing this game blind, just lied and actually looked stuff up during their first run. Awful community defending a truly awful and broken aspect of an otherwise amazing game.

@@pawlogatesthe community isn’t that bad. Just go in blind, or not, you do you, and figure out what your plan is. Mine, originally was explore and hibernate. I just finished 5P’s quest. And he murdered me. (FOR CLARIFICATION) Five Pebbles does NOT murder you unless you stay inside of his can. That’s what I did and he got really mad. I just wanted to see what he’d do if I stayed.

Same, I killed an Adult Noodlefly with a shelter, I used its corpse as base defense. (It worked)

Good luck! It's a fun run... but boy it's tough! Especially with the DLC!

@@longplaytv4402 I cleared the no DLC with my own pathing with 10 dies... then DLC came to kill me 110 time O_O the fire one killed 80 and Alonne itself killed me 40 times... That's my biggest fear... I have a question : you up END a lot. Don't you think upping the VIT to take biggest armor wouln't help this run ? Stoping leveling END to 30 max then leveling VIT ?

@@AA-pm2bg It probably would, I'm just not really a fan of the large heavy armor. Being able to roll was more my priority. That's definitely a good strategy though. It was just my preference.
