AIX Records' RUclips channel includes the content from our catalog of over 75 high-resolution audio and video music albums. Our award-winning recordings were produced during "live" sessions (without an audience) - no overdubs, studio trickery, or autotune. We avoid all dynamic processing and rely instead on real world dynamics to reflect the actual performances. AIX Records doesn't alter the tonal characteristics of the instruments or vocals through the use of equalization or other digital processes. These tracks are full fidelity, recorded in high-resolution, and presented with accompanying video.
Slightly Out of Town
I first met both Grant Geissman and Gordon Goodwin at CSU Northridge in the mid 70’s. We were all students in the music department, although our musical spheres were very different in those days. I was an electronic music/composition major and they were both members of the "A" jazz band. We weren’t really friends at the time but after reconnecting with Grant while working on the Cheryl Bentyne DVD, I thought it might be interesting to explore the possibility of working together on a new project. Grant was immediately interested. It turns out that it's the 25th anniversary of his original group and that revisiting some of the old charts might be fun. This record is the result. Recorded at ...

Jonathan McEuen has performed with his father and friends for over 15 years. His voice and guitar playing have been heard on AIX Records previously. If you’ve enjoyed “Shady Grove” on the award-winning Nitty Gritty Surround DVD, then this project is for you. Jonathan is a unique talent apart from his father. I first saw him perform on the Santa Monica pier at the reconstituted but short-lived A...

Great performance of one of Hoyt's classic! Thank you...
This is one of my favorite GorkaTunes. I have been a fan since the time I had a full head of hair. Alas, along with my youth, it vanished. Thanks for the good vibes, John.
Too much string buzz for me.
Beautiful song beautifully rendered. Thank you.
Willie
I felt that
Lovely 😢hanks Albert
Oh man... I can't watch this video enough...
Great tune !!!!! Very Nice Banda Bros.
wrti 90.1 brought me here. Great work Mr. Roney
One day ill die and never here this again .......😢😢😢😢😢😢
One of my favorite all-time songs! Still practicing on playing this song.
Beautiful rendition!👏👏👏👏
Wow! Love this song and his performance...
Sweet, just plain sweet!
This has always been one of my favorite songs ever written and recorded. But, also, I’ve been watching you play guitar for years not knowing that you are a singer too. You have a great voice! Great job one a great song!!!
You're just seeing a master with no ego . Take note.
yapp
Don't and I won't....
Barry, nice job on the song.
Brilliant
Legend indeed. And not just as an amazing guitarist. His harmonies with people like Emmy Lou Harris are inspiring.
A fine version of a fine Hoyt Axton song.
I remember growing up Huntington Beach Dave Mason played at the Golden Bear all the time when I got to be old enough, my Band got to open up for him and I got to smoke a bowl in his truck at the galaxy theater in Santa Ana and it was a memorable time he said I had good chops and we smoked a bowl and everything was wonderful ❤️🎸🎶😁
I saw Dave at celebrity theater in Phoenix years ago.
Gorgeous version, but it needs RT.
the best
This guy not only plays a guitar well, but his voice is fabulous, resonates so beautifully!!
The sadness in this song is so real and beautifully written and performed.
My favorite by mark
A DELIGHTFUL SINGER THAT CARRIES HERSELF SO VERY WELL .GOD BLESS YOU
Very nice Albert.....Greg and Steve Romero say hey !
"A tune" written Richard Thompson ... really "a tune"? It hat any way to describe a song recorded by about 20 other famous artists.
I equate tune and song when I write or talk about musical compositions in the commercial segment of the music industry.
@@markwaldrep5143 Really "a tune" -disrespectful.
Dave's one of the rare voices that have aged exceptionally well. Master class in projection.
I return to the well of sorrow to never miss a drop on my way back up
So cool to hear! Albert Lee is a musical treasure in this crazy world!
As a very amateur guitar player I say thanks Albert, you will always be my favorite because you are YOU. R.I.P the friend that I never met.
anyone know the tuning for this version of the song?
Damn Albert, that was just awesome!
Not the best song for Rita🥴
A JODI BELLE SONG ✌❤ from HAMPTON, VA
Beautiful song!!!Nice piano,drums and bass.
SUPERB JOHN...THANK YOU SIR!!! ✌❤ from HAMPTON, VA
AMAZING PRODUCTION !!! ONE OF A KIND AS USUAL !
This is a wonderful song that I've loved since I first heard it in the 70's. Like Dave, I've grown older and mellower and this version is by far, the best one I've heard by him. It reminds me of the "one that got away" back then and my heart still aches. I've had a good life but still, I wonder what could have been. Dave Mason is such a wonderful messenger because his music goes straight to the heart.
Thanks for the very kind comment. I love this version as well...very quiet and intimate.
Just fabulous!
Just superb.
Live his voice and music.
i used to travel alittle and worked in Manhattan.. I've said to many at apropos timing. I'm from NJ, if the world ended today I would adjust.. sum comment.. I always give you credit when that happens.. Saint John Viaennei fair always misses your $ at the food stands and rides.. peace to you
Like original better
Not bad , not as good a singer as Allison though ..
