Excellent, concise, and to-the-point video. Thank you so much!
@@enzo6933 Thanks!
You plugged it in directly to the 12v socket, when the dash cam is 5v. Is that not going to cause issues?
@@metronemy No issues to report!
@@knoodlez Good to know, thanks!
looking for reviews for this dashcam and your voice makes me wait for the law and order intro line.. "In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories" 😂
@@dslrjunkieHaha, definitely will take that compliment! Thank you!
Can I use it without car cable
Always call out the other vehicles license plate numbers because sometimes license plates are unreadable on video.
Thanks
Good job. Will this record the whole trip without looping and recording over ? I want to get a big memory card and record my entire trip that could be several hours. Thsnks
Nope I like the old one 30s sux great vid tho
This was a fantastic review! I thank you kindly and hope you get lot of traffic to your channel. Kudos for a great job!
Thank you!
No help at all. Can't access menu options. Can't sync to my phone.
I have two cousins who purchased this item so i thought i would but first wanted to see what i just saw in this video - i've used garmin products (GPS) for years primarily solo wilderness hunting. It could be said it saved my life and/or serious injury once.
Hows it going if you still have it? Are you able to see the plates if someone did a hit and run? Also wondering if the gps and speed is worth it over just getting the garmin mini. But also concerned about seeing the plates if ever needed too, the price for anything better resolution is a big increase
How many min/hrs does the SD card hold before it records over the old video?
Absolutely no nonsense video. Straight up. Thank you.
Thank you!
Awesome review! 10/10 for no BS review
It handles Arizona heat, good nuff for me lol
Hey great review. I just got one but couldn't find the SD card that they said they included in the box. Do you have any further information on that or did I just not receive one with it
Thanks for watching! I am pretty sure mine was already in the camera when I opened it but I can’t recall 100%.
I have been very disappointed with this camera. Where are the long videos? I drive for an hour and I only have a 30 second clip? WTF???
How is your connection going since you had it. I have one like this one and I have to connect when I'm in the car . I was under the impression that you can view away from the car with the 24hr mode.
I just got the 47. Thank you for this video! Very helpful
Well done video. I tried watching a DYI guy with a Dutch accent do this install and I nearly went berserk! You did a perfect job ..thanks!
If this is how you do all of your reviews, you need to start 'teaching classes to the masses.' No stupid flair, no annoying music, to the point and no bullshit. Thank you for saving us so much time!
Thank you!
@@knoodlez noooooo. Thank YOU!
Does Garmin offer a suction cup option when someone doesn't want to stick something to a window?
What about using one for the front and one for the rear?
Its a piece of shit , had it for less than a month, keeps freezing, app connectivity is awful - super slow app . Returning to best buy today
Nice and straight to the point
Thanks!
Nice review. Concise and straightforward 👍🏽
Thanks!
Crap video. You missed so many important features
Great video I just have one question is the hardwire just so that it’s always on? And if I just use the 12 volt can I just always leave it plugged in all the time? Thanks
You’re in Tempe that’s awesome
I bought one and notice when I drive the screen on the camera is off just black doesn’t look like it’s on. Does it still record?
This camera will record any accident while parking ? Or it need any additional cable to do that ?
Hi Sanoop - The camera is recording the whole time the car is on. If you’re talking about the ‘Parking Guard’ feature, this will start the camera up if the car is touched with enough force to trigger the camera’s sensor (it doesn’t take much force for it to activate). So it won’t record the moment before the impact, just the time immediately after. Hope this helps!
I need to buy Garmin Parking Mode Cable separately or it not necessary?
@@sanuttans111 no its all built in
Had it for a month now. Didn't know it had features like telling you when you are veering onto the shoulder, when stopped at a light and cars start pulling away in front of you, or when you are to close to the car ahead of you. Each one gives a different sound affect. No complaints. I feel like I upgraded my 2014 Ram to a smart car.
can i disable that
@@misrble I have no idea because disabling the alerts hasn't crossed my mind and the noises don't bother me.
What about video quality, can you see car plates?
1:47 For my garmin 47, it will always pop up the selection of location and language, before it starts recording. How did you set it up so that this selection won't pop up again?
Wow, that first footage was Mill Ave Bridge lol
This is all I wanted to see and hear. Great, quick, to the point review. Cheers mate
Appreciate it!
I hated programming this camera to my IPhone 13 Promax. I DO NOT recommend it for apple users.
Going to install mine now, thanks for the tips!
Good luck, hope you enjoy it! I still have mine and it still works great.
Brilliant review man, thanks for taking the time to do this… can I put in a larger sd card ?
Thanks Marc! Yep, you can definitely put a larger SD card in. I did shortly after I made the video. FYI the camera is still going strong after about a year of daily use.
Solid review! Very quick and informative! You also might even help me with my next question since I noticed you also live in AZ; how does the adhesive fare in the AZ summer heat?
Thanks! The adhesive definitely held up fine in the heat. I’ve since moved to the east coast and can say that it works well in the cold, too!
I feel like you missed a lot of the features, including voice control, which is why I watched this review in the first place.
wow you should could use a manicure
Hi, good day! Does it record whole video you drive on the whole day? Like if you drive 1 or 2hrs? Thanks
Hi Paul - It definitely can. You can put a larger memory card into it and record as much as it can hold. You can also edit quality if you want to record longer videos at lower quality to save space.
Thank you for showing the initial mounting and the removal which leaves behind---surprise, surprise--the steel plate which was pre-installed in the mounting base. The user manual is silent on the inclusion of the second plate and doesn't tell you that the first plate is just magnetically, and not permanently, stuck inside the mounting base.
Really happy to hear it helped!
Where do you live? You have a cool mountain in your city center.
This was filmed in Tempe, AZ!
why spend 100 dollars more for a 180 degree camera, if this 140 degree camera is mounted on the mirror it covers the entire windshield from left to right

Excellent review !!!
Thanks Jonathan!
Thanks - nice walk through. The video seems very yellow in tint - especially daytime. Did you do that in "postproduction"?
Nope - Probably just that bright, Arizona sun!
@@knoodlez Thanks. 👍
Excellent video! You provided more useful information in 3:38 than some others do in 15 minutes. Well done!
Thanks for watching!
