Very helpful. I've just successfully rewired my Epee using this video as a guide. I made a dog's dinner of the glueing, but it should do the job; bloody messy though, he did it with such grace.

What kind of dremel bit is best for removing glue?

the french won, by better controlling the distance. You can see their dominance purely by watching both fencers legs. The hungarians fall in empty space, are stopped from above or surprised by counterattack. very nice video

wow I just tried glueing the wire on my epee for the first time. LOL i have glue all over the blade now! i'll scrape off the extra after it dries, hopefully won't be a problem. thanks for the video Andrew.

I prefer the smaller Diamond Wheel myself. The EZ Lock one is big, it doesn't seem to do the cleaning job as well...too much mass for the motor of my Dremel to move...slows down. Glad he didn't just do the heat gun and start wiring, tho...proper cleaning of the blade is THE most important part of a rewire.

To be fair the guy on the right in not really attacking, he is just stepping forward with a bent arm and then counter attacking so I think most of the decisions the ref made were correct. He did make 1/2 which were prob not right

I know how emotional fencers can get. My son fences sabre, and he's had some pretty tough bouts. But, what I don't like is the poor sportsmanship that is shown. Not a classy way to finish. I'm sure he paid for the mask and sabre that he threw on the ground and kicked. My son knows the consequences of behavoir like that...he won't be getting a ride to the next tournament he wants to go to. This being U15, I hope he does some growing up.
