Would you have any idea as to why mine isn’t filling up with enough water? I do the reset and it basically fills it twice then it’s ok, but the next time it fills with water it’s only half full

The interesting thing is on the HHR, the rotation directions are correct herein. On our 2008 Saturn Aura, the directions are the opposite: Spinning clockwise lowers, counter-clockwise raises. WEIRD GM.

Your video helped me getting ice droppin again. I agree with the post below. A simple out and up, it comes off with ease. I used a big ass hair dryer. I sprayed water all over my self in the process. The Mrs got a laugh out of it. The a while later she was surprised and greatful when the 1st batch of ice dropped

We've got a 2006 and about every two or three years the front door handles break. I guess you can buy metal ones, which I should have done the last time. I think both of the front seat handles (driver and passenger side) have been replaced about 4 times. I just replaced both last week - again. Maybe it's the cold weather in Michigan, I dunno. I know last winter they broke, on both sides, the same day - which was weird. And the way these things are made the door handle assembly is kind of riveted in, with melted plastic on the tops of some posts, so that removing the thing is a pain. The bigger pain is that your grind away the plastic to get the assembly out, then have to drop glue on these posts to secure the new handle and if you have to do it over and over the posts break.....just a mess. Three of five posts were totally gone on the driver's side and I ended up just having to screw the damned thing into the door panel. I will say this: If you have to replace a door handle buy the metal replacements.....not the plastic one, which are the stock thing. AND: I mentioned this elsewhere and someone asked if we closed the doors by grabbing the handles - no way. Basically, I love the car because it's comfortable and gets good mileage....166,000 miles. But it has some quirks. We've also had the electrical system go nuts a couple of times....long story.

Took about 2 minutes to replace, thanks. p.s. you don't have to jack up the car to do this. Either have the wheel turned to the left on the passenger side. Turn to the right on the driver's side. OR, a small arm, like I have works when your son has his keys and it is 9:30 at night. Thanks. Wayne

If you have not changed your radio and you have an Apple i phone you can by a two pin cable connector the new iPhone come with a little piece that plugs into the bottom of your phone where you charge it the other end plug in to the pin connector tha you can. Listen to your music that way I bought an aftermarket radio I miss my cd player then the factory radio it both aux and usb port but you have to take back to dealer to get unlock to use it

I drive a 2011 HHR. As of this comment it's now 2023. So 12 year old and with proper maintenance still runs like a charm.

2011 HHR 2.2 uses 5.3 quarts double check your dipstick level after you run engine for a few minutes

Our 2011HHR Z24 has been a great vehicle ..my wife drives it all the time..she carrys all her art supplies & easels..the 2.4 200hp. Super charged engine is fairly fast too👍

You should of went ahead & replaced ALL FOUR...you know that older bulbs you didn't replace are gonna burn out soon..

Hit reset button and watch the whole cycle for icemaker. When the ice removal forks make almost full revolution the arm that checks for ice full in bin should go down and come back up. If it doesn’t then there is probably ice inside not allowing the arm to lower and the ice maker thinks the bin is full. That is what was happening to mine. Hair dryer works but only have to focus on base of that arm. Wondering if drilling a hole in that area might help to keep condensate down and prevent ice from forming. Before this i used to use a piece of plywood to put on freezer allowing you to open the freezer door to defrost while plywood kept cold air inside freezer. I got all samsung appliances and every one has issues. Microwave used to come on by itself randomly almost burning down my house one time. Ice dispenser would also come on randomly and empty ice all over floor. What the heck samsung! Update: take screw out of square cap on left side of maker and removed cap with butter knife. As suspected full of ice. With cap off can get hair dryer right where it needs to go. Update 2. Leave a gap at bottom of side cap and seems to prevent ice from collecting inside mechanism. Possibly a permanent fix finally.

I have a 2008 HHR and I was thinking that those old style chrome CRAGAR SS rims that were real popular way back in the '70's. I think those would look REALLY cool on an HHR. Only thing is ........ if I'm correct the HHR's have what, 17" wheels on 'em? Does anyone know if they make those kinda cool looking old skool CRAGAR type wheels available in 17" ? If anyone knows and could please respond with info on where I can maybe get 'em or send a link on where someplace might sell 'em I'd certainly appreciate. Originally I never really saw myself driving an HHR. I was either a van guy or a VW Beetle guy. But the HHR kinda fell into my possession by accident and I eventually really fell in love with it ....... the way it drives and especially the way it looks. Besides the CRAGAR type wheels ...... does anyone ono of theres any HHR owner clubs out there? Again, please send all pertinent info. And thanks for posting your HHR video!

Hey, hello!! Would you know anything about why the headlights will suddenly either turn off while not driving or just won't turn on at all unless you tap the front of headlight or wiggle the wires where you would replace the headlamp? Thankyou
