I called this one "Freezing Rain". I was playing around this this long pattern and wanted to record it so that I didn't have to use the S-1 everytime I wanted to listen to it, and at the same time I wanted to do something for #jamuary. :)

Used the Volca Beats jam to jam alongside myself with the Monotron and it sounds pretty good! I've been thinking about how to make this and I'm happy that it works. I can now make several jams with different instruments and comine them together like this.

Ran my new Volca Beats through the Monotron Duo's filter, which was kind of the goal of the setup, and I'm absolutely loving it. No regrets getting the duo, and I can't wait to add Monotrons to other synths for more live performance fun. Really takes the Volca's sounds to another level! I thought it was missing a filter and now there is one.

Just got a Volca Sample 2 delivered today! I went through many mixed feelings as I looked into and learned how to control this synth. I wish there were two configurations for sequencing (I miss the chromatic one!), but regardless I wouldn't return it now. Ran it through a Monotron Duo and it sounds pretty neat! Still loving the combination of the two. I wish I had more synths but the limitation makes me learn a bit more about those two until the other synths arrive. Couldn't stop there, so I recorded another session right after "The Charm". Still don't regret getting this synth. It's not what I had in mind, but it fills a need for samples that I have. I like the previous jam better but still I end up with a sound that I really like! Haven't played an hour on the Sample2 so far, but I feel like I've owned it for a long time.

I always connected the Pocket Pod using a mono cable but I checked and it could do stereo. I wanted to try it with the Keys since I missed having stereo effects for a polyphonic synth. :) Owned two Junos back in the day and loved playing around with the onboard Chorus effect. Also brought back the Volca Bass and this confirms that I'm not a big fan of the Kick. :)

Once again with the same synths. I'm enjoying the Keys plugged into the Pocket Pod so much, I could spend hours just playing the low octaves on it. Went back to the same FM patch for those punchy pizzicato-like notes. Cut off a part where I was using the Lemondrop.

Another cool jam with the same synths, but with an extra plasma ball/Tesla coil! I was so into the synths that I even forgot about the Volca Beats. :) Really happy to be able to find all the sounds that I feel like using, with these machines. It was well worth the investment!

Hey hello colleague! cool your little demo, the T8 is really a great little synth, like all this compact series of Roland, the bass is particularly beautiful I find as well as the claps. The kick with the overdrive can become really mean, it is certainly the best cheap synth/groovebox combo of 2024. Cool your demo my friend 🤗 I made a small one too, in which I highlight the step loop function, and the bass live recording if you're interested 😉😋
I just learned about the T-8's overdrive recently... It's the best hidden feature!

That's so cool, I can imagine your excitement hahaa Yeah it's clear personally the overdrive was decisive in my decision to have this machine, and this bassline that I find really very beautiful, rounder and deeper than the usual TB basslines. It's less shrill I think, it sounds more analog finally. And this overdrive yeah it was really the 2 features for me! I like it when it hits and there for the time being with this overdrive it hits! On the other hand the machine quickly reaches its limits as soon as you push the overdrive a little too much on one part, it eats the other part quite quickly, you have to manage to dose all that well, or use just the drums, or just the bass in addition to other synths :) But this overdrive is really cool it allows you to make a very big sound, a big sound that comes out of a very small box, pretty cool! Nice chill synth jam. im thiking to buy a jd-08, the output is stereo? do you use a 3.5mm stereo spilit cable?, also can the usb send audio to computer?
Yes it's stereo, I use a split cable to connect it to a mixer and you can send the audio through USB. :)

Cool Jam. Which clones have you owned? I have two TD3s, which I have modded with the essential mods to bring the sound closer to the TB303.
I've had the MAM MB33 mk1 and mk2, the TT-303 and also tried the TD-3s. Now I have the TB-3 and the T-8 from Roland, mostly because they don't need to warm up before use. :)

What would you say about loading your one samples; difficult or as easy as the Rest?
It's the easiest, I find. You can load a folder of samples in one operation. :)

Sidechain, LowPass Filters, and a bit of mastering helped, but most of the work was done by the source samples. :) I was using the preset samples already in the Play when you buy it.
