I was there in the front rowe on the 19th April 1981 when the first reunion took place between Cash, Perkins and Lewis in Rotterdam Ahoy. This one was a few days later. There is a bootleg CD Rockabilly Reunion of that concert in Rotterdam

A shame this is a VHS, I bet a better scan would look 10x better!

Nine Times Blue is such a great Nesmith classic. It stayed unreleased for a long time though. It’s great to hear all three of them singing together. Wonderful harmony. As for Love of the Common People, both Johnny and Ed released that as a single. Great song to hear them duet on. Fantastic show!!

Saved the best for last. Love seeing mother Maybelle Carter and the Carter Family singing with Johnny. So sweet ❤

I was there that night along with the lady who eventually married. We had front row seats to Johnny’s left. Between filming, my wife took a photograph of Johnny bending down to shake my hand. I still got the photo.

Always liked John Cash, but having Waylon on the show was extra special. RIP Guy's!❤

I remember watching this show in the summer of 1976. It did air on CBS. It was a summer replacement for The Sonny And Cher Show. I went and saw Johnny Cash at The Ohio State Fair in August of 1976. I remember him telling the audience that the ratings for this show were quite good. It led to CBS having him do some Christmas Specials yearly and a few Spring Specials. Good memories. Thanks for posting this.
