My hobby turned into an addiction. Melting metal, scrapping out stuff people throw away, dumpster diving...I love it all. So I figured "what the heck, you might as well record your nonsense". Then Skuller Metals happened.
I also unclog culverts and lake drains when I come across them. I'll do some power washing at times as well. Basically if it's stuff I'd be interested in watching, I'll do it on my page. I appreciate all my subscribers very much. It's been cool to "get to know" many of them and have some nice banter from time to time. I just hope my page is enjoyable to people and it's a quick escape from an otherwise nutty world.

Great vid and great pours Skuller! Of course the ear corn rocks. Thinking about getting a propane furnace like you to make bigger and more pours faster. My second electric furnace took a dump so I was able to make one out of two work.

Check a lot of the faucet parts you're putting in your aluminum bucket, it's usually all die-cast zinc! And the lighting castings, all that will be zinc as well. They typically do not die-cast parts that small out of aluminum.

I suggest a hammer first for your cast pieces. You'll save some fuel.
I don't understand why? For fun or some kind of hobby ok. But you have now made a mystery metal. It was an identifiable alloy. My experience with scrap yards is they have to test each ingot. And some yards that do not have the equipment will not take them. Some won't take them because people hide steel bars in them.
Ok. Well you have no clue what arrangements I have with my yard, do you? Do you know if my yard tests every bar? Do they do that for just copper, or aluminum too? Don't make the mistake and think people are stupid and haven't done their homework. And yes, it's a hobby to me.

What do those ears sell for ?
At current copper price each one has a scrap value of about $4.25.
I would ask $10.00 for one ear. That might cover the cost of the LP and such.
@@dennistennyson4540 I just make them to scrap them out. If I sold them I'd sell them for $20. Also in the cost is the work to get the copper in the first place.

What is the temperature of your torch in relation to the melting point of silver. I think you are cooling the molten silver with the torch when you pour.
@@barnardb01 Thought about that. Definitely possible. The hotter the mold got though the better the result. Hot mold/no torch maybe the way to go....if I melt it again.

the extra hole you drilled made the ventilation weird in the forge, probly why it was doing that
