    Hi, great video very informative. I wonder if you might have the knowledge to know if there is a compatible 6 speed gearbox that will work with the zephyr1100 1992 Thanks for sharing.

    • @brianwells5258
      @brianwells5258 9 дней назад

      I am guessing since its an early Zephyr 1100 (92) its 2nd gear problems that are your issue..?? I love these bikes..,(always have and would really like one) However they do tend to suffer transmission issues (especially the "early" ones..)..,and that is a big shame.. You could check out this thread for some information. www.kawasakiworld.com/threads/1993-zx-1100-transmission-interchange.36997/ Hope this helps God bless BG.

      @brianwells5258 thanks for the reply, yes i am aware of the issue how ever with the factory pro modification this isn't the case with my engine. I feel it needs the extra gear as it seems to labour at speed. As I'm riding i constantly want to knock it up into a gear that isn't there lol. I have two engines with of which are 4 speed boxes. Going forward I will keep my eye open for the 5 speed if un successful with finding an appropriate 6 speed. Thanks for the link Please keep the videos coming its great content.

      Having delved deeper into this it appears I have an issue I need to investigate as I should have a 5 speed gear box.

      @@brianwells5258 totally get that and love the videos. The point I was making is you normally want to step away from the fire grab the extinguisher then knock the fire down to save your kit and maintain the exit. Bit like putting a fire blanket over a cooker which you cant reach when a pan is on fire lol. Your garage and your choice but love your work

  • @narcism2672
    @narcism2672 Месяц назад

    The tilted lid and its support are a safety feature. If you use the parts washer with solvents (like kerosene) to wash the parts and it catches fire, stand will melt (some parts of it) and the lid will fall down, closing the washer and, hopefully, stopping the fire. So, take this into account when modifying the washer.

    Yes of course you could "tie down" the rear brake which would help...(and also some would sit on the bike while on the ground with the brake pedal pressed while another attempted to loosen that nut) Easy enough though with a length of "soft wood" through the wheel and clamped down as shown.. Just need one of those Torque Multipliers...(a massive powered rattle gun...,or a 4' breaker bar..!) That nut is Tiiiiiggghtt😅..!!!
