Did this for my Animation project. It is a short loose adaptation of "The Legend of the Maneki Neko". Sypnosis: Artist is a homeless girl who is barely having any luck trading her paintings for even cat food for her beloved cat, Lucky, who she treasures even more than her own well being.

Why couldn’t they animate the entire manga like this, with accuracy…It’s like all the people involved with productions hated this series. It truly never got the love and care it deserves

This was a TV show, not an OVA. The difference is that Shaft animated the alternate universe story.

It actually wasn't that big, during the broadcast there were filler frames in a bunch of different places. Shaft was good, but they had a habit of not getting all the animation done on time at the time.

Wingshot's Kwami, Wuufuu is the Bat Kwami of Luck. Their superpower is called Lucky Shot. Basically it allows the user to make any impossible shot when it's at full power. You can alternatively have five smaller shots but the accuracy lessens with each shot.
