It’s still a 2003, not a 2004, cause it was produced in August not after September. But not a lot of difference between both years. Major difference is in the 2005(one being the electric throttle body)
The car comes back as a 2004 based on the vin. The 2007 camry came out in February of 2006 - this is a USA thing. I know it’s weird. We also do business in Japan and even a December 31st 2003 car would be a 2003. But this is 1000% a 2004 in the USA. It sounds silly typing it but that’s what it is

LI cars not a lot of miles, probably elderly owned and family dumped it. Rough for sure but probably would be reliable.
Will be reliable for sure! That’s the reason I dragged the stuff up from the south… One owner cars with a bunch of evidence that they were taking care of, but cosmetic flaws mean great savings and reliable cars for people on a budget. I myself have been driving a Virginia 1999 Camry 242k, same owner since the year 2000, timing belt done twice, expensive tires… Radiator flush… Paid next to nothing for it, and it’s been more reliablethan my wife’s five figure suburban Personally I can drive whatever I want, because of the dealership, but I’m drawn to cars like this Corolla. It doesn’t owe anybody anything, and it will probably be chugging along when the 2024 models are mostly in the junkyard

The Gt4 models of these have the SR20det with a all time awd drive system. Super fun, have one as my project car in NZ. Beware of room seam seal issues. They crack and fail overtime which results in rusting out the rear hatch bolts and seals. Very common issue in these wagons. To remedy, remove headliner, roof rails and reseam seal the previous seam seal. If rusted out under the hatch bolts, the rear hatch structure will need to be rebuilt.
This is awesome information thank you so much! Not sure if you know, but in the United States, cars need to be 25 years old to be imported, and I can’t speak for everyone, but it is most cost-effective to bring in very clean stuff. With economical cars like this, most of the cost is shipping and customs anyway, so it doesn’t make sense to bring in something that needs work…this one is pretty close to museum grade. I’m sure whoever buys it will appreciate what you said as they keep it running throughout the years
@@pellacars Yep which is why Avenirs are going up in price. last year nzd they were 12-15k for a gt4. now its 30k bc the americans are getting them now. Not saying that this Avenir has this issue, but its a very common issue just like how the skylines and silvias have bad rust issues.
