    For everyone under 1500 I’d really just recommend improving your tactics have a plan for the first moves no matter what the opponent plays (can be same moves every time like the kings Indian system or learning some simple answers to most openings that you can follow up on with fundamentals) also know a bit about endgames and how to win when ahead. You don’t need any positional knowledge except for fundamentals aka control the middle and king safety.

    • @thejackmeistro
      @thejackmeistro 14 дней назад

      @@emperorsascharoni9577 thats fair man totally agree but the reason I dont recommend learning systems is that they drain the fun out of the game and don't teach creativity in my opinion and lead to boring games, don't get me wrong tho I do like the kings Indian/grunfeld/ nimzovitch against d4 which is what i personally play like against the london or queens gambit setups as unlike the London which is boring they lead to quite tricky positions albeit giving white a small advantage but that dosnt really matter anyhow and the openings I just mentioned although are somewhat systems you don't necessarily play the same moves every game against ur opponent unlike the bs london i do like learning theory tho as I love learning lines in the najdorf or dragon in detail as that's my repotoire atm against e4 but at 1500 you don't need to learn 20 moves of theory lmao but that's just my opinion if you want to learn setup based openings its totally up to you I just personally prefer tactical creative games especially at that level as people blunder more often and fall for tactics, really good advice though man. 😀

      @@thejackmeistro Yeah I just think lots of people over complicate it. Fun is obviously most important but for me I hated not having a response to every opening but learning all that stuff is too much. I play e4 with white so that’s where I can scratch that itch. Black I only play CaroKann (because I learnt about it for white already) or kings Indian, against everything else. An interesting example would be Tyler1 who reached 1800 in very little time with only tactics training and a system that’s not even good. I like giving the minimal advice necessary. Say what you need to do leave the rest to the individual. You need tactics to get good. Learn positional principles or openings and such if you like doing so but don’t think it’s necessary to reach 2000. As gm finegold likes to say “don’t blunder and you’ll win”

    My rating stuck in 1200 elo I solve daily puzzles and play games and analyse them how can I improve should I play Sicilian opening in this rating

    • @thejackmeistro
      @thejackmeistro Месяц назад

      It depends really. If you enjoy playing more tactical fun games you can get many tricks and tactics from the Sicilian, for white and for black. However the Sicilian is VERY theoretical and for the more higher Elo players (especially the najdorf which I play) however for your rating however if you REALLY want to play the Sicilian id recommend learning the dragon Sicilian or an e6 Sicilian as they are quite tactical and fun to play and less theory heavy for black. and for white (if you play e4) if you face the Sicilian id recommend the alapin variation as it is quite uncommon and can catch your opponent off guard. I think these opening would benefit you as I used them at a similar level to get to where I am now. Hope this helps :)

      @@GiftigeBalspuwer So that you can learn the common ideas of middle games and endgames that come from your opening, and normally when you watch grandmaster games it gives a commentary over what the moves do and how they improve the position as by knowing this you'll find it easier to come up with attacking ideas, if you don't understand the moves try to spend more time focusing on that aspect or maybe try another way to improve until ur a higher elo as I started doing this at around 1500 elo. i think the most fun is playing as anonymous on lichess if you are bored and dont feel great and playing rated only when you feel bored and great playing anonymous is more fun than rated and builds positive association and curiosity also even a 500 rated player can play as a 1600 on a nice day so elo doesnt really matter in a match imo

    • @thejackmeistro

      what do you mean by playing anonymous like not seeing your opponents Elo? also I agree what you said about a 500 being able to play better than their currant rating some of it is a psychological thing with being intimidated by your opponents Elo but also tiredness also. YES 100% the amount of times I've been tired and lost Elo on chess.com is ridiculous. I should've covered this but one of the main things that helped me improve was playing at my local chess club and in tournaments over the board as, they allow you more time to think. I cant remember how many online games I've thrown in the past 😭So my advice would DEFININITLEY be to play more over the board as you can focus on your game and moves more also allowing you to remember your moves better and spot tactics and what not. And of coarse its more fun as well.

      @@thejackmeistro wait a minute. Isn’t this gambit titled England Gambit CHECKMATE? It’s a failure to it’s namesake. However after Queen takes rook (as you say) if the white Queen blocks check. It is still very possible to salvage/save the black Queen. Mainly by taking the rooks pawn or retreating the same way the Queen advanced. The white moves have been so busy blocking check after check the pieces are stagnant on the board. A Queen should never be sacrificed unless it’s a last resort. Preferably within the Kings striking distance. How long have you been playing? Because your defense lacks common sense.

      @@stevend.chavariaii1507 I've been playing chess properly since 2020 and I'm rated 1600 blitz and like I've said if the white queen blocks check top engine line is too take and it's plus 4.5 for black what is your point I know the Englund Gambit isn't played much high level but it is a tricky gambit at the 800 rating range that is good to play against things like the London and such what is your rating?

      Yes but you can push d3 and take back with the bishop at some point as they have weakened their centre that isn't covered in the video tho 😅

      @@DannyMonkey7 If whites e pawn takes ur flank pawn you cant play the gambit but you are better because the position would ressemble a kings gambit accepted and whites centre would be weaker and have doiubled pawns :)
