Oh, that poor child. She looks so scared. You can sense the pressure coming down on her sort of all at once. I felt something similar when I went on my first tour. How much more even for her, as a solo artist! It must have been scary for her. She didn't ask for any of this. She's just so talented, everybody kind of pushed her up onstage. But now she's developed into an amazing and incredible performer and personality, and she's grown into her position. I'm so glad she shared her wonderful talent with the world. Her music has changed my life.

I love the ackdowledgement of the mistreatment and belittling by the doctors. the very people you think are supposed to be helping you. I was set back years by an adversarial relationship with a very poorly trained and practicing psychiatrist. years. it made me question whether there was any help there at all it was so bad. I finally found someone I could trust after ten years in and out of mental wards. you say things like you believe in goddesses and that they saved you on the actual fucking battlefields you were on and they label you. once you get that label you're fucked. I apologize for the language, I truly do, but I find more beautiful language inept at describing the situation in which you find. yourself once you're labeled with something like D.i.D. and violent outbursts when they don't understand the spiritual maladies they see before them you truly are just fucked. So, I found beauty in AURORA's music in various places and came to be enamored with the whole family. I am writing a book called Becoming Hel and Various Musings and I use them and their beautiful, overt love of their native Norse culture as inspiration for my musings. It works and brings me peace. I guess it's just fan fiction, but it helps me. So thank you for your courage here, Viktoria Aksnes and I am overjoyed that. you have found happiness, peace and love.

When she says that music helps her a lot 2:16, I am reminded of how liberating singing is. In another context, maybe ot - I'm talking about stuttering - singing is the mental form of expression that frees from vocal blocks and gives freedom to one's desire to communicate effectively. I know people who are successful in the theatre, where speech is everything, who have broken down their limits by thinking of speaking as a rhythmic chant.

I’m learning Norwegian with Duolingo, it’s a pretty simple language, for English speakers to learn, and duos daily threats to take my family help a lot! Point being you should learn Norwegian Also Swedish I started with Swedish and the two are very similar so the switch was really really easy ❤❤ I’d love to move to Norway one day 😊

I came to to see how much I could understand as I'm learning Norwegian right now. I didn't understand almost any of it except for a couple of words and a few cognates, but it's good practice. Also, if someone gave me a jar of moths I would be the happiest person on the planet.

I'm the same age as Aurora so I'm conflicted whether I want to hear this album or not. On the one hand if I hear it I would be able to peer into a summary of her wonderful life, on the other hand it would mean that she would die before me and I just don't want that to happen.
