Family footage of the Buchan Queen and Buchan Princesses for 2004 as they lead the 'Carnival Parade' on a dull Peterhead Summer's day. The Palace Hotel hosts one of the most popular events of the week, the Prize Bingo!

As the 'Carnival Parade' had moved to the opening Saturday, it meant a space in the programme for the second Saturday. Local dance and drama schools were invited to perform at the newly completed bandstand in Drummer's Corner. An additional Peterhead Producers Market was held specifically for 'Scottish Week' and pur Emergency Services hosted the 'Blue Light Festival' at nearby Buchan House.

Artie was back at the Community Theatre for the third year running. Kids entertained with music, songs and stories!

The forecast wasn't favourable prior to the 'Asco' Carnival Parade, but come the start (3:00pm for 2024) it was dry and bright! The streets throughout the town centre were lined with spectators eager to see the procession pass. The winner of 'Best Decorated Float' went to Fairytale Fancies. Heavy rain during the night did little to dampen spirits come midday on Sunday 21st July, as hundreds attended 'Picnic in the Park'. Inflatables, bungee trampolines, 2wit 2woo (owl rescue handling), vendors, entertainment, charity stalls, etc, ascended onto Eden Park, Cairntrodlie. Video by Peterhead Scottish Week

The Tartan Lug arranged another amazing exhibition of Lego displays at 'Peterhead Brickmania'. Held at Boddam's Buchan Braes Coastal Hotel, hundreds visited the event over the opening two days of 'Scottish Week'. Video by Peterhead Scottish Week

New for 2024, was the inclusion of two one-hour 'Candlelight Concerts by Fever' at the Community Theatre. The Grampian String Quartet performed a medley of ABBA songs for the first concert. The second concert of the evening, the ensemble played the music of Queen. Both concerts were well attendes. Video by Peterhead Scottish Week.

A’hoy there me matey! A behind the scenes video of the hard work needed to make your float stand out for the judges at the ‘Carnival Parade’. The Masson Glennie ‘Picnic in the Park’ had to be cancelled due to poor weather on Sunday 16th July. Instead a reworked event, the Masson Glennie ‘Funday’ was organised inside the Community Centre on Sunday 23rd July. Four time slots were available with bouncy castles, face painting and stalls.
