i think to start new with torps in mind the terran eagle is better than the gagrin, because the eagle is a meta torp boat, with meta torp console and good torp trait

There is also colony and fleet consoles that help with shield healing

So couple things. 2:13 I'm thinking highly specialized ship trait could definitely work with this, r&r personal trait would work if you go with science team for the 5 second reduction, principle insubordination, the shield r&d lvl15 trait for a 1-2 sec 99% shield resist. But the one that has me thinking a lot is sentient ship starship traits. Not sure if multiple sources stack this but.... An increase is an increase. Plus 'down but not out'.... There is also the lukari console for up to +475% shield and hull heal. And don't forget secondary shields which benefit from shield resist items. But normally don't have resist on them.

I'm coming from Grand Theft Auto Online to Star Trek online just to check it out. Didn't even know this existed so It'll be my first time playing it.

Lets be honest, Deca cant be any worse than PWI/PWE who introduced loot boxes to the game in the first place, honestly its tamed down since the gearbox thing, it use to spam you with boxes in missions... got better over time but was still alot of stupid annoying inv clutter... only up side some of those old boxes still have people buying them on the exchange and... some of them go for way more than they are really worth...

i legit paid for this ship and i love it. the way i look at is that its made for enthusiasts. for people who want to buy a manual car in an age of automatic CVTs. i say this because it reminds me on a honda accord or nissan skyline. its a fun ship that can run heavy epg or less epg and more DEW SCI. either way its a fun little ship that i find myself switching too after years of using the Verne. its the first ship ive been excited to try out in a long time even if it doesnt have all the best stats or meta build potential all you min max builders love.

I personally like the game. One, I'm an older man and I only play this game (1 of 3) in dire times of boredom. I strongly believe that, as a father, leading my family in real life activities, such as fishing, camping, outdoor activities, sports and bowling in the winter. However, with the small moments of "me" time, and being a Star Trek fan, the game is very satisfying. Specially since I've started my account when it came out. My computer is about 10 years old and it's still able to handle the game. I will never commit myself to "game play" when on the spot family needs come first. I like the game because you can pretty much shut down on an instance notice if you choose. STO is still an enjoyable game to play. Yes, I would like to see a bride for the Excelsior ship and Ferengi ship (full ship with Captain's Quarter and mess hall) but I understand.

This is my main characters ship. Love this ship. Using the Awhani pets for the debuff. Radiolytic phasers. 42% crit chance with over 200% crit severity. Spent a lot on getting ships just for traits and doffs and the superior romulan officers and a couple of watchers. Beam overload with kemocyte laced weaponry. As well some of the sick personal space traits. Intelligence agent attache. Terran targeting. The overcharged weapons off the one xindi ship. I think I'm using 5 ISO mags. I love this ship. It's a beast. I melt cubes in elite HSE

may not be the "best" ship in game, but it's sure one of the top 3 free ships ingame.

As a long time Trek fan, I joined STO on day one of launch (as a lifetime sub). I've been in a Trek PC clan since the days of SFA (Starfleet Academy by Interplay) and the guys in the clan have a decent PvE/PvP presence in STO (Task Force Phoenix), yet I still cannot get into this game. It always feels like a giant cash grab and videos like this make me not want to waste my time when really good MMO's like Guild Wars 2 exist. For all the legit complaints about ArenaNet, I feel like they at least know the majority of their customer base is there based on the good will they have created and curated. I think STO has been passed around too much (devs) and is simply looked at as a cash grab by whoever recently holds the publishing rights. What a shame for a show about a future where everything is not monopolized and turned into cash grabs.

In STO you won't have fun unless you gamble.

With the TX-2 upgrades and focusing on DPS/Speed, it's absolutely amazing.. I'm specing for Phasers, with loads of DPS/speed boosts, plus passives for moar speed = moar damage. It's an excellent flank exploiter and puts a lot of damage on big targets.

Game has a great community. I once asked how long it would theoretically take to save up to buy the JJ Abrams Enterprise with in-game money, and this guy was like basically forever and sent me one for free in my mail
