Home Made Pool Cue Lathe Version2.0
You don't need 1k to 3k dollars to own a pool cue lathe you can make it for about $200 you just need a set of hands some basic tools and a mind with imagination to create. Sorry I'm not very good at making videos and I have zero skills for editing but I hope you get the idea of how i made this lathe

      Maybe change the polarity of the motor against the threads? Or tighten it more

    • @Mangyan_Venture
      @Mangyan_Venture День назад

      The lathe pin on this one gets loose when polarity of the motor is rotating same way like the threads of the shafts when it happens i just switch the polarity by switching negative to positive or positive to negative

      I'll try build a better version than this one I'll let you know when I do I can't promise tho I don't think this lathe is worth selling this was just for my personal use it works for me but I couldn't say that it would work for everyone else. I needed practice on my first few tips installed didn't turn out really good

    Nice lathe! What is between the shaft and the bearings?

    • @Mangyan_Venture
      @Mangyan_Venture 11 месяцев назад

      It's a rubber tube I cut to protect the shaft I change it every use I think I paid $7 for 10' long and I still have plenty. I play pool regularly and change my tip probably every 3 months this is just for a personal use sometimes I do install tips for my friends in the league I play

    What kind of chuck is that

    • @Mangyan_Venture
      @Mangyan_Venture Год назад

      It's a 7mm spring collet and I had my local machine shop machined the lathe pins for me to fit the 7mm collet. You can build this with a drill chuck and you will not need to have the lathe pins machine my first version of this I used drill chuck but due to drill chuck being heavy when I turn the motor with higher rpm it starts vibrating
