Your Remedy Against Being Uninspired
Hi try make some short videos too. i think it works
The sirens exercise is a game changer! It really helps ease into higher notes without straining the voice. Thank you for making this video.
This isn't that difficult to figure out. Most computers have a voice recorder so record you singing along with a karaoke song. Unfortunately, Im a baritone which is fine for country but not for tenor-laden rock.
I’ve been trying to figure this out for myself. There are a lot of artists whose songs I like to sing karaoke or as covers, but I have no idea where I sound best. I’ve never known if dropping octaves to fit my register better sounds okay or if it’s obvious that I can’t hit those notes. For example, in Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things, I can sing the first half (two verses) great but in the chorus I have to drop it an octave when he hits “these beautiful things that I’ve done…”
Thanks for honest and million dollar tips. Your advice has made me feel the difference straightaway
The glottal onset exercise was such a game changer! It’s amazing how much more control it adds to the voice.
That all makes so much sense! Thankyou!
Really helps when you give the exercise and example for each technique - thank you!
Thank you both for this video! Very interesting to start making things simple to work on playing and singing a song ❤
Loved the analogy about learning to speak before reading. It really puts things into perspective for those who feel intimidated by reading music or complex chords.
This is a game-changer for singers! Being able to change the pitch to suit your voice is so helpful. Thanks for the detailed walkthrough!
Loved how you explained the difference between steaming and nebulizing in simple terms. This was super insightful!
Very clear
love this! thank you for your tips and tricks!!!
Thanks for your feedback and especially your positivity! 🎵☀
Do you do any one on one private lessons?
Hi @ricksantos303, thanks for asking! Please have a look on www.singinginsiders.com/work-with-me for all information! See you soon! 🎵☀
Very good explanation, but what do you do in a song where you can’t do that so easily?
Hi @fugician421, do you have any examples? Feel free to reach out to help@singinginsiders.com to discuss this in detail!
Brilliant Maggie! Thank you for the easy to understand and follow tips. Your insights are profound and easy to follow. Thank you!
Hi @RiyazLearnSinging, thank you for your lovely feedback! It means a lot to us!
I have this strange problem where I sing worse as soon as I'm recording myself because I'm tensing up. As soon as I stop recording and sing the same line its free of tension and sounds so much better. I'm really struggling stop this happening. My mind gets stuck in this thought of "Its go time! Make sure you don't stuff it up" which automatically tenses me up
I like the way you explain and give examples.
Hey @luzecheverri442, thank you so much for your kind feedback! I truly apreciate it! ☀
Oh my world I love this Maggie. Thank you!
Thank you for your lovely message, @coachbe_abimnola! 🎵

You never provided exercises to strengthen head voice, so I didn’t buy your class
Hi @josehmecozzi6417, thank you for your message. I’m curious, which one of our trainings did you follow? Because we do share a lot of head voice exercises in our Singing Insiders community :) happy to help you further with this!
Great tips, Maggie! The exercises for internal hearing and mix voice are really helpful. Can’t wait to watch the next video!
I am soooooo glad that I found this channel!
That's so awesome to hear, @loquens9726! Check out our website for additional content as well!
This is awesome! Thank you so much! For me, it was easy to transition but I cant sing the word "two" with same power. What can be done?
Hi @hansanikularatne5287, can you describe what you experience when trying to sing the word "two" with the same power? I would say try to focus on breath support or play around a bit with the vowel's sound. Try experimenting with a few techniques and you should be able to find a way to sing "two" with more power and consistency.
@@singinginsiders my voice doesn't come out almost, it sounds too strained/ it's breaking even if it does. It's not breath control, as in I don't feel like I'm running out of breath.
Hey@@hansanikularatne5287, I hope experimenting with a few different techniques help. Have you ever thought about joining the Singing Insiders-community? We are a community of likeminded people passionate about singing. We also have a messageboard where our members exchange experiences and tips, I'm pretty sure some of them could help you as well!
Great Insights Maggie! This video offers tips on smoothing vocal breaks and singing high notes without strain. It covers blending chest and head voice to create a smooth transition through your range, using practical exercises and examples. Thank you for this tutorial.
Hi! Thank you so much for taking to time to write down your positive feedback! 🎵☀
This video offers a quick way to sing high notes effortlessly by using the "cry" technique to access mixed voice. It addresses common vocal mistakes and provides a practical demonstration with "One Moment In Time."
After all these years, I have never been able to understand the difference between the chest and head voice. It seems to merely correspond to low and high notes. How do you "activate" one or another register? The concept of registers needs to be explained independent of the pitch of a note. Otherwise, it does not seem to have any analytical value.
Thanks for your message, @sumanaspirit! Understanding the difference between chest and head voice can indeed be confusing. While they often correspond to low and high notes, they are fundamentally about different ways of producing sound. To activate chest voice, speak or sing in your lower range and feel the vibrations in your chest. For head voice, sing higher notes softly and feel the vibrations in your head. This distinction isn't just about pitch, it's about the quality and resonance of the sound. Both registers can overlap in pitch, but they are distinguished by where you feel the vibrations and the tonal quality produced. Understanding this can help you better analyze and utilize your vocal capabilities. Let me know if you have any other questions! 🎵☀
The cry/tilt is an absolute game changer. I went from being stuck at G#4 for months as a beginner (and thinking this might be the ceiling for me) to suddenly hitting B4s to now being able to hit the occasional E5 in a strong mix. Speaking for males, I think this "baritone curse" stuff is culturally rooted and we find it hard at first to thin out and let the voice lighten. Embracing the cry really will take you to the next level.
That's fantastic to hear! Thanks for sharing your success story - it’s encouraging for other singers facing similar challenges!
Of course I cannot hear my pitches I am 96% deaf bilaterally. I just wing it.
Thank you
Hi Maggie, always helpful, completely clear instruction and applicable. And though I can't at the moment be a member, I recommend it to anyone, from the bottom of my heart! 🫶🏼
