It is absolutely imperative to pray, God will hear our prayers every time. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments and I will pray to the father and he will give you the holy spirit. So if we go against the 10 commandments and we make statues and idols. And if we go against the 10 commandments and we don't believe in the sabbath Saturday.
