I was there following him, Bob Tway and Len Mattice. I was sitting directly behind him on the grass hill that is directly behind the first shot in this reel. He had around 58 feet in total putts. He didnt crack a smile or a frown. He didn't speak much to his caddy. The sound the crowd made when he sunk the eagle was deafening. I even got to see Bob Hope be driven in a golf cart around the clubhouse. I'll never forget that day.

I helped a regular playing partner once. 20 handicap, he should have been off about 13 but he couldn't get out of a bunker to save himself. I told him to try & splash sand all over the green. Didn't make him a good bunker player, but got him to stop decelerating through the shot
