What about the Small Tang on the Water Pump what Position does it sit at. I've heard 1 o'clock. If I'm on the Driver's side is 1 o'clock. Thank you

I've got a question for you. I believe the shop is trying to bend me over without no lube. I know 94-02 32V Northstar are the same. When you took off the water pump belt it didn't put the engine out of time did it. Thank you

I think your video was very very helpful. It was very detailed step by step, by far one of the best if not the best videos i watched on installing a water pump on this video. I have a 96 Cadillac Deville and it's set up pretty much the same way. 2 Thumbs up.

Per the Cadillac owners manual and the underhood decal "This engine requires the use of GM supplement sealant part #@#&^%$. Failure to use the supplement sealant can result in major engine damage not covered by the manufactures warranty." You didn't add the supplement sealant. It's those brown tablets available at your local GM dealer (or Bars Leaks Gold if you can still find it). You need to add this stuff to the antifreeze whenever you do cooling system services like this. It saves the engines headgaskets. Northstars built 2005 and newer don't require the sealant.

Hi I have a cadillac deville 1999. I took out old water pump bt its very very hard to get new one in. Please give me any advice or video as far as puting the pump in. Thats the real hard part. To make sure its locked n sittin in gud. Thanks

Hey man, I have been working on this for two days myself. I have just been following the hane's manual I have, and using my dad as a resource. I have everything down, and even completed the job once, but the o had ripped and was still leaking. I managed to replace the o-ring because the guy at autozone was nice enough just to give me one. What lubricant did you use for replacing the o-ring?

will the water pump cause the hose thats connected to the thermostat to expand, i just replaced thermostat and the coolant will just clog up right there

Thank you so much for this video. I got ripped off buying a 95 Eldorado, decided I was going to fix it instead of be pissed. This has helped so greatly for a lot of things I'm working on. ie; the pulley on the tensioner on my car was completely shredded and melted, and I have been freaking out triyng to figure out why my car is over heating. I got that repair kit on the way. I was wondering where you got your parts for under 100?

Just saved me a ton of money on my 95 Deville concours. Bought the tool for $26 and everything else was all good!

Very helpful. There are a few others on here but yours was the best by far. I just completed this job on my 98 Eldorado and that bottom 10mm bolt on the backside was a royal pain but everything else was a breeze. Took me two hours from start to finish with properly cleaning all the parts.

I hope its that easy on the deville I'm gonna be doing here soon

oh ya, the wet bar is working. I just got back about 6 weeks ago, the place is great. Planning another visit soon, great hotel w/ resonable rates. The breakfast was fantastic, really worth the money. The sports bar (Champions) is very nice, cold cerveza and pretty good clam chowder. People were friendly and helpful!!! VIVA MEXICO!!!!!!

I stayed there years ago dude, it was awesome. Wish id a bought one of those cigars from the lobby. Did they have the wet bar going? It wasn't opperational when we went.
