Hey bro, So I refit my pin lock about 6times after speaking with pin lock directly and it improved it slightly but I could never get a fog free cold ride it always started to mist up. I looked around for alternative with the same style and I ended up going for a completely different style as I have an ADV I went with a hybrid ADV helmet. I will be doing a review on it but wanted to get some good miles done with it first

I personally haven't had experience with the EOX but the atlas 4.0 in my opinion is absolutely awful for the price and the Covert is better

Well in rurocs defense that is their choice they didn't want a middleman and wanted direct to consumers sales which makes them alot more money

How long are you rides? My commute to work is just under an hour and it happens around 30mins into the ride

Glad my video helped my friend and welcome to the family of bikers! I'm no professional when it comes to helmet safety but my understanding is that asking as a helmet is shown to meet ECE 22.05 or 22.06 (new standard) then your all good, I believe all Scorpion and all main manufacturers have this anyway as it's a UK and euro law. Best bet when buying a helmet is go to a local shop, you don't have to buy it from them but if you go to somewhere like infinity or J&S Accessories they are legit resellers and all gear will be correctly advertised. My tip would be don't be pressured into buying a crazy expensive lid for your first one, you will 100% drop it and knock it so this one I reviewed is great also 22.05 is still perfectly safe so don't be worried about getting an 05 instead of an 06

Really appreciate the comments brother, I am going to do another one on this helmet as riding through winter I noticed a few issues which I would of liked to know about before I bought it so watch out for that. I'm with you 100% I want a ruroc so much as they look badass and he graphics they do are busy way above everything else. It's just such a shame the actual quality and customers service is so bad. I'm on the market for a new helmet and will be finally doing another video soon had a bunch of life get in the way since the last one but would love to find a new brand that actually do what they say and are not looking to rio you off!

Unfortunately not, I recently went to a bike show which had a ruroc stand and got fitted with the M/L which fit great and is way out of the measurement they outline and my head is pretty rounded so fits the design of ruroc. Also never questioned the connection when I used it, just paying £150/180 for average earphones. I use the cardo Packtalk edge now and it's an understatement to say it's miles better.

I will have to take mine apart to go back over it pal hopefully be able to do a video for you soon enough !

All pinlock compatible visors have two drilled holes and screws so not sure why you think that would cracked your visor

@GhoshyUK And it cracks around the visor lock on the HJC where the glass is drilled also.ive made hjc aware of this and I'm sure I'm not the only one.Why do you think they've changed it for the rpha 12?

No idea but that's how every helmet that used pinlock has been made for the last 10 years

@MrMurphc13 absolutely any visor which uses pinlock has that same system and pinlock designed. Helmet manufacturer then have the choice to use that system or not but pinlock is the only proven system and it's why every manufacturer uses it. Your visor cracking has nothing to do with the pinlock holes trust me.

Hey man, ye so since its been winter in the UK any time i have been on the bike when its cold my pinlock seems to steam up near my nose and the top right, I have sent an email to pinlock as I've been using them for years on loads of helmets and never had this issue. If I find anything out I will reply here bro

@GhoshyUK thanks for reply. I'm East Midlands UK. Could your "spot" fogging be because you kept swapping between the two visors, or do you have a pinlock on each now? Cheers

@BANDIT_NOOB I'm not too sure I have tried a few things now like cleaned both visor and pinlock with running alcohol but it seems like the pinlock isn't getting the best seal on the visor. Could be because I switched it a few times but not sure

@@jamesg3685 if you've got the covert coming. Make sure you order a pinlock. You will need it. 💯 perfect with pinlock installed

Best thing you can do is contact them, put the stickers back on and dont mention that you took them off. You could always also check out my other videos the scorpion is a great alternative

@@GhoshyUK I have heard scorpion is good. This helmet was a gift so I really want to keep it. I put the sti kers back on lol but let's just say it doesn't look like when they came off it's so hard to put them back on perfect

@@GhoshyUK I get what you're saying but when it comes to people experiences with Ruroc I take it with a grain of salt. You're just one person and there are probably thousands and thousands with good experiences that we will never hear about. I watched so many videos on how bad the Biltwell Gringo S was shit and avoid at all cost. Well, I bought one and it's a fantastic lid, I love it. Hopefully this will be my experience with the Ruroc.

Ye of course it's never going to be all bad but my main issue with Ruroc is the Comms kit which shouldn't be sold as a Comms unit it's a glorified music system which is no better than a £20 Bluetooth headset on Amazon but they charge £120-150 for it plus there customer service when it comes to issues they are very hard to deal with like my situation and so many more I have seen if you have a fault they don't want to take any responsibility.

@@GhoshyUK Well lucky for me I just want the tunes...I don't like anyone enough to want to talk to them lol. You're also paying for the integration of that sound unit. Unfortunately that's the state of the world these days...no one wants to back up their products.

I have a £14.99 Bluetooth headset in my AGV which is universal fitment it has a mic on it aswell which is just as good as the Ruroc shockwave and as it all fits inside the helmet you have nothing stuck to your helmet at all so basically it's a shockwave kit but it's over £100 cheaper lol that's what I mean when I say Ruroc just rip you off

Not in the atlas 4.0 core you can't I think that is the track addition they have recently started. The pads in the helmet I had where all one piece.

Ye would be a great idea for the standard 4.0 core as it would solve alot of the fitment issues but sadly they don't seem to care about that

the pads are in one piece, but you have to unzip them and then you can remove a layer of foam from inside the cheek pad. it's made so you can wash it without ruining the foam.

Indeed but this isn't so you can make it more comfortable it's to wash them, removing them and the using the helmet completely voids the safety rating

@@GhoshyUK I have just watched it, you can find far better helmets for less money that will fit you correctly. I always buy discounted Arai RX7 helmets, my last 2 were under £500, race proven helmets with great pads/lining, ventilation, visor system that works properly. You can also adjust the fit with removable layers. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and only cost me an average of £100 a year.

Ye again watch the next video I even show the new helmet I got and at no point in this video or the next one do I recommend or say Ruroc is good. I understand your point but I feel youve completely missed my point lol the thumbnail even says my point

@@GhoshyUK I don’t think I have. You’ve done what you should have to begin with, go in a physical store and get a proper fitting and sized helmet, supporting your local bike industry.

There's no "what you should of done" it's what you think is best and some people absolutely love Ruroc and have had them for years. My experience was bad with them so I went back to a more established brand. I haven't supported any local business as I bought from a UK wide chain who most likely buy in from overseas.

Fit was perfect for me, I'm a medium in most helmet and the M was just right I tried on a small but was way to tight. Love the helmet I have done a review video just haven't had a chance to edit and upload it so should be doing in this week! Glad I could help

No it doesn't come with one but if you go on the pinlock website and search for the covert FX it gives the model number you need for the pinlock then just Google search that I got mine for £23

@@GhoshyUK yeah I did exactly that but the only website that sells them are called chrome burner and they want £15 for delivery and it comes shipped from over seas. They have a lot of bad reviews, did you buy from them?

1 of my mates got one last year, another just got one, I just constantly take the piss out of them for buying this crap brand. I don’t understand buying an unknown brand like this to protect you head. It isn’t a quality helmet! I’ve worn Arai for my last 4 helmets since about 2007.

@@bryansuperduke1290r Because they are appealing to the substance over function generation. However the helmet is tested upto current regs so there isn't any issue there but the QA and testing leaves a lot to be desired as i'm seeing people have issues with the lining coming away from the helmet and other notable things.

Thanks for the comment my friend, yes I found the same issues with my Ruroc I couldn't be more glad to not have it anymore! My cardo is on the LHS might of just been the upload of the video mirroring the image!

Ye that's not true at all, in the UK you cannot sell any form of motorcycle protective gear without being regulated, in the US it might not be the same level of testing as it's a bit odd out there but in the UK it is impossible to get around the testing. And Ruroc are an extremely safe helmet just very poor design.

From their words: "ATLAS 4.0 has been GLOBALLY independently tested; at Newton labs in Italy for impact attenuation development, at VIAS Institute in Belgium for development and ECE 22.06 certification, and at ACT Labs in China for DOT impact and penetration testing and certification. Alongside this ATLAS 2.0 and 3.0 have been granted a 4* SHARP rating, an evaluation that can only be achieved through independent purchase and test, and once ATLAS 4.0 is on sale this will be next on the list."

I almost bought the HX1 Carbon but couldn't find one in stock that was black so gave up

Glad to hear it! Ye mate the Scorpion has been brilliant the only thing I would change is them offering a darker visor as the one you get is a road legal version so it's not very tinted at all.

Agreed my friend, it's crazy how they market themselves as a huge ground breaking organisation but they don't even have a call centre. Really disappointed in them as a brand!
