Been awhile since I last watched your Higurashi streams! And you're on my favorite of the Question Arcs. Its just so painfully real. The horror is more real this time around. Ryukishi07's (creator) career background as a social worker/civil servant is shown clear as day in this arc the most. Child abuse is such a difficult topic, but its handled so maturely in Higurashi. Most likely because its apparent that you can feel that it comes from a place of empathy. All sides to the situation is explored, and you can understand to some extent why nothing is being done right now. But I love how raw Keiichi's frustration, anger and despair is. No matter how much his reckless behavior frustrates us.. you still get where he's coming from. Also he's a kid, he doesn't know any better. Being powerless is such an ugly and terrible feeling. Its interesting how different this arc is compared to the previous two, in terms of perspective. In the first two, Keiichi is an outsider and is reacting to the suspicious dangerous things happening around him. You fear being murdered from the culprit. But in this case, we're seeing it from Keiichi, the eyes of the potential culprit of this year's murder. I'm sure anyone can understand that feeling, "if I just kill that person all our problems will go away and we can go back to our happy lives." Which is such a childish naive perspective. Its never that simple. I look forward to future videos!

Oh this one HURT Screaming AND crying rn But I have Thoughts. Like you pointed out, there is an interesting parallel to how Keichi will find out something that he's 'not supposed to' and then proceed to try to apologize for it, whether subtly in Ch. 2 or overtly here. But something else I noticed was a parallel between Keichi's situation and Satoko's situation. "If I apologize enough, maybe they won't be so mad at me." Even when for Satoko where it didn't matter, she still tries to please her uncle and his guests as best she can. Part of me wants to go back and see if this parallel also applies to previous chapters and the other characters that the story has focused on so far, but I'm currently not sure what it has to do with anything. Irie mentioning that Oishi appearing with the Watanagashi tracks with Oishi's appearances in previous games (not to mention his character), but to me feels a little convenient, especially since we don't really know where Irie fits into all of this. I think when I started watching you guys playing this I was just like "oh hey, this seems neat, cute anime girls that are actually horrifying," but now I'm INVESTED

As for the questions you have had toward the end... *Spoilers below* Dr. Yado was speaking with his wife (Presumably, unless she was a surrogate mother) in the end of the game there. He refers to her as a "Used pile of flesh" because he only wanted her to give birth to "Nancy", or Buddy as we know her. He then shot and killed his wife (that's what the 'bang' was). This was before the flash took place. How he pulled off 'the flash' is still a mystery to me. Also, you may not know but there is technically a 'true' ending to Joyful... though with some controversy and some confusion about the characters and end game scene.. This ending was added for the definitive version and is not in the legacy release of Joyful.

Hello Spooney. I've enjoyed playing Kaycee's mod for some time also. When I eventually get back to it, I'm going to handicap my deck expansion based on the picture in Leshy's cabin. Each boss on each map has a special trait I'd be willing to use. The prospector likes gold, so I expand my deck based on cost displayed. The Angler only likes fish, so I expand my deck based on the tribe shown (this includes unaffiliated). The trader puts value and creature as important, so my deck expands based on cost and/or tribe. For now, I have to recover from a bad run on Magnificus mod. My excuse is just achievement hunting. Would you be interested in playing Kaycee's mod but for the other 3 scribes? Reply with your favourite scribe and I will provide you the details of the mod within a mod.

This is entertaining! Lol yes this game is very troll like. Also the gang that jumps you thats very hard to beat (1:04:00) I did lose to them. I got upset and I reloaded then unleased diesel firebombs on them the second time. That actually helped a LOT because i was only then able to defeat them.
