Thanks for listening Scott. Yeah, my stuff is not really the Bogren norm, but I figured why not? I've tried to go a more "Metal" route with my last few of uploads. It's just a little weird and difficult with a Strat and the 60 cycle hum.

Thank you. It's been tough. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. Then I just start replaying things in my mind. I have a lot of regrets on my part with my mom. I moved away overseas a few years ago and I know it hurt her beyond words. I did get the chance to breakdown to her and say how sorry I was for leaving her. It's just gonna take some time, but it will be something that never leaves me 'til it's my turn. Good luck to you to my friend.

Number of plugins has nothing to do with the end result. It's either good or not. This is good.

Haha, yeah that's me. I don't think they'd have room on their payroll for me... they don't have enough help to address user's issues and squashing bugs. Thanks though. Yeah, mostly rock stuff. The only snare expansion I have is the Wooden snares. Really nice and organic, but I haven't actually wound up using it all that much in projects. I tend to just roll with the snare options that come with the expansion I'm using.

@@davejohnsonmusicThanks! Hopefully with some community input we can get it all a littel more cohesive by the time V4 hits. And thanks for the info on the snares. Might spiring for the Signature Snares volume 2, as there're a couple in there that seem like they'll be right up my alley :)

@@el-bov8034Honestly, I think they should get AAX squared away for Apple Silicon and then just focus all of their resources on BFD4, rather than trying to apply bandaids to a decade old software with ancient code.

@@davejohnsonmusic I agree on steaming full-speed-ahead to V4. But I wasn't aware that V4 would come with all new content. Been out of the loop for a while.

​@@el-bov8034Every iteration of BFD has had it's own dedicated core library, so I expect all new samples and grooves.

Yeah, this software came out well over a decade ago, before 4K monitors were commonplace. They are still updating it, but only for OS/Apple Silicon compatibility. Anything else like monitor resolution, I wouldn't expect until BFD4 is released and that's still quite a ways away. Though their BFD Player should be released this year and that may have 4K monitor capability.

@davejohnsonmusic thanks for information. Sound library also engine are really great so only issue is GUI. I know it's quite old but this should be done few years ago. I seen many people complain about this. Anyway thanks for response and we have to wait for BFD4

@@wizmos74 The issue was when Roli acquired BFD from Fxpansion back in 2016. From what I gather, they basically did nothing with the software to either update, or bring new features for the few years they had it. At least with inMusic owning it now, we are getting some minor feature updates, as well as compatibility across systems and a roadmap for the future.

Thank you. I not much of a metal guy nowadays, but I can appreciate it as well. Other than the bass, I'm pretty happy with the mix.

I have a 6-core Xeon Mac Pro from 2010. Honestly, the on-board BFD3 FX engine isn't very intensive, especially if you're using a 1024 buffer size. It's pretty old software itself, so any i5 or better system should be able to run it fine with the FX. The main thing is that you have the samples on an SSD for best performance.

The stock library is 55GB installed at full-detail. Back in the day when it first came out, this may have seemed like a lot, but storage today is always getting cheaper and faster, so it's not really a problem anymore. I'm interested to see what kind of footprint BFD4 will take up.

Thanks for checking it out. I think it comes with a couple of presets, but as is with a lot of these older expansions, the presets really don't do all that much as far as FX and even kit tweaks. In the Info section of this vid, there's a link to the preset I used if you want to use it.

It's always refreshing to find content on their channels. So many blowhards have no content and so much to say. I also checked out one of your band camp song, I think it was called "Sensation". Really nice. Don't let your playing slide too far away my friend. I do a lot of recording also but luckily I do a lot of the playing so ... I'm still playing but sometimes weeks go by and then I have to play something and if it's not guitar I really have to dig into myself to get back what I could play easily months ago. Sorry for the long post, guess I'm just starving for peer interaction.

This is when I started to get more into learning about mixing properly. I'm pretty lucky that when I do pick up the axe again, it doesn't take me too long to get the chops back. sorry, I was pretty stoned and getting "experimental"......the sick jam took over & i wanted to ride with it.....when you shoot for hours and hours you need to fuck around and try things.......I have plenty of videos that are shot "normal".......but this was no normal jam that night.......I remember I sent this clip to Marc and he thought it was rad.
