Are you going to lift kit?
@@stanislavs9660 she's now been sold. I now own a WVT4 camper
Straight to the point! Thankyou

Hi! My van was cranking but not starting so after some research I thought I have the same issue. So today I did exactly what you showed here and it worked. Thank you for sharing!
@@ceremcemaslan6818 You are very welcome. I'm pleased the video has helped someone out
You have given me an idea ti build a bed in my kangoo
@@jandavidmorales1784 Thants fantastic, if u need any advice please do let me know
A bonnet bra damaged the paint work on my bonnet so as a fix I am going for the rusty look and will be doing exactly what you've done here this weekend on my T5, love the look!
@coopsT5 I've seen a few T5s done at meets, always loved the look of them. It's quite easy to do to be fair.
How did you insulate the metal?
I only insulated the floor as the surface area of the sides simply wasn't worth it. I had a diesel heater installed, which kept the van nice and toasty in the winter. ( I actually had to have the windows open ) a diesel heater will also stop condensation with it being dry heat. Gas blow heating would have the same affect.
Any idea what it weighs mate?
They fairly light. You could fairly easily lift it yourself. However removing it would take a couple of people because of its size
Хорошая работа 😊 Но! Арка - это скорее декоративный элемент, а вот за ней элемент силовой . Разве не стоило сначала восстановить лонжерон и заменить пластину училения на его наружней части находящееся над креплением амортизатора?
I do apologise. I thought you were commenting on a van I'm currently working on. This van I decided it was too far gone in the end and scraped it. This video was done in the early stages of my welding skills and knowledge. Please see some of my latter videos
Me podías decir porfavor que es esa pieza que tienes en las manos ?
Can you translate it into English, please 🙏
does the 2009 1.6 vti model has one ?
@@scottykilmer3920 I would persum so mate
tried to explore it but it’s some sort of construction site now?
Unfortunately, all but the listed buildings have been knocked down to make way for a new village.
I've been there like 8 times and it was better every time😊
We plan on visiting again this year. Beautiful part of the world 🌎
would u recommend a microcamper for a single male ?
Absolutely mate. Most of my travals were on my own. There is lots of advantages of a micro camper too. One being you can get under hight barriers. 2nd, you can park pritty much anywhere as people don't tend to think a small van would have someone sleeping in it. And you can have all the goodies that a bigger van has with just a little planning. Not to mention cheaper insurance, lower fuel cost. Not to mention, if it's a newer small van no tax to pay
@@Adventure.with.Robbie "Sin mencionar", pero lo vas mencionando.. 😅
Hi,is this an ABL 1.9td?I've this same problem
Hi Gavin, mine is a 2.4 none turbo. However, I would persum it would be a similar if not the same set up.
Hi how did you remove the metal casing?
@gavinp6025 hammer and chisel along the seam. Or you could use a mini hobby disk cutter.. just be careful not to hit the screw in the fuel pump with the hammer
Que top seu projeto
Thank you, obrigado
Very nice! I was looking for a tutorial to give my fixedgear bike a makeover and found your video, keep up the good work.
Thank you. And good luck with your bike. You definitely won't go wrong with this stuff
Way to fast, don't think I even blinked. Why did you remove it??
Lol, it's that easy to come of. I had to remove it to get the door card off to access the door lock, which I had to replace
Have you still got the T4 you put the roof on.
I have yes. It's currently my daily driver
What make is the shower?? Thanks
Hi, I don't think it was branded. They are on eBay and amazon under camping showers. They are all pretty much the same thing, so there really is no need to go for the most expensive.
That will do the job 👍🏴😁✌️
Thank you 😊
Mit der Musik im Video könntest du abgemahnt werden.
I have a license for the music in the video, which is fully displayed in the description of the video
Great place used to love it rooms not so good
It wasn't too bad. The location was good. The food was OK. Entertainment for the kids was great. Unfortunately, it's not a great deal for adults. The biggest letdown for us was getting so ill. I personally don't know how I made the trip back home on the aeroplane. There were a lot of other people who were ill as well who we had stayed in contact with us to this day. None of us had covid. The only things we could put it down to was either the air conditioning or the damp that developed during our stay.
@@Adventure.with.Robbiewe stayed here and lord of us were Ill to wondering what it could be
@TheEmski26 damp and mould as well as the air conditioning

Great van mate ill keep a eye out on your build

So on the box I see only two cables. On the green board I see three cable entrances. There is one cable sticking out of the solenoid. Do you endup with one earthing Cable going to the pump and one positive purple cable to the solenoid? That's what I understand but on the video I see you end up with ,4 cables* two and two? Could you clarify please? Thanks
The wire you see left on the solenoid is just a cut of bit left over. There is only the two wires. One going to the pump/earthing point and the other going to the solenoid itself.
@@Adventure.with.Robbie ooh okay. I was confused because on the positive side you had a exposed cope wire ( or part of a wire ) and it looked like two. Doing this tomorrow morning. Cheers from being stranded stranded in Valencia parking lot in front of 16 Tesla chargers that destroyed my inmobizer 🤦 lol Also that one blue pipe with a fat screw to remove to get access to the solenoid is the fuel intake as far as I know and if you remove it it may intake some air that will have to be extracted . You didn't do this or did you? Big thanks
I believe the fuel system is a self bleed system. I didn't have to bleed mine. You can also put a switch on the dash and connect that up to then two wires for extra security. Meaning when it's turned off, the engine won't start.. defiantly worth doing whole you got all the front end of. It's also ideal to do the glow plugs at the same time whole you have easy access
@@Adventure.with.Robbie ooh I see. Yeah manual inmobizer is definitely a must without that box in there... Otherwise a thief can be start pushed or just tap into cables lol. I'll also put in a hidden GPS. Thanks boss. I'll let you know if this has worked for me
@Jack.D5 you have any issues. Just send us a msg. If I can help, I will do
What was the food like bud
To be fair, the food was alright. There is plenty of choice. Kids food, fish chips, pizza, nuggets, etc. The adults' food was a lot better. Curry's lamb, chicken. Sunday dinner, lasagna, pasta dishes english brrakfast, pawns. Salads, breads Etc 95 per cent of it was English food. I would probably give the food 3 stars. Taking into account, they are cooking for over 300 people and there must be about 10 options each meal time
Hiya mate is this a 1.6 16v by any chance ? Im getting an engine light on and a camshaft position error but spoke to citroen dealer and they said this model doesnt even have camshaft sensor (NFU engine) apparently a dodgy crankshaft sensor can give same code
Yes, mate, it is the 1.6
Can we start the car without the box
Yes, you can remove the box totally and connect the two wires up as in the video
@@Adventure.with.Robbie sometimes the inmobilizer is hooked up with the switchboard. I hope this is not the case for the volkswagen t4? Must be since it worked for you ;)
@jacobtex4611 I'm unsure to be fair. I done this on mine about a year ago. Had no issues with it at all. When you say switch bourd. Do you mean the black box that the two wires are originally connected too?
i ment the main central comupter@@Adventure.with.Robbie
Hi Robbie cracking video, I lost my T4 keys a few years back had a new key cut and the black box behind the instrument panel was "decoded" by a key guy, however the old girl never fired up, turned over really well and eventually burned the starter motor. Was thinking of doing what you have shown as a next step once ive fitted another starter. Do you think doing this step will bypass the ignition black box and send fuel to the fuel pump? The old girl been sat for a while now and really need to get it moved. Shes a 1.9tdi on a 1998. Thankyou look forward to hear from you.
Go for it, mate. Absolutely worst case for you is the actual solenoid that has failed. ( common issue ) Which would mean the black box would have to be removed anyway to access that. Just be careful of the fuel pump screw when removing
@@Adventure.with.Robbie Okay Bud will give that a try , Will keep you posted , Ta
Interesting. I don't have starting issue but I have a problem with the VE pump. It seems to have a timing issue as it's constantly lookig for proper timing once the engine starts to warm up. I also get misfiring and at certain times it feels like it want to cut out. And oddly enough I also have an issue with my k-line connection which prevents me from using OBDII port for diagnostics as there must be a short somewhere. May have to take a look at this black box.
It could well be a faulty immobiliser. I think most T4s have had them removed. They can have an intermittent issue where it won't start and sometimes will. It wouldn't course a misfire, though. As for your OBD port, depending on which model you have from my understanding, not all obd Readers work on the T4s. You would need one for a T4 only. Or get a professional to scan it.
@@Adventure.with.Robbie Mine starts fine, no issues there so immo seems fine at first glance. I have VCDS which should work just fine. I have VW T4 1996 7D, so the newer face lift model. But I can't communicate to any of the modules which indicates there is something wrong with k-line. Probably a faulty module or circuit. I have already done some diagnostics and immo seems fine as I removed and bypassed it for testing purposes. I have also ruled out instrument cluster and ABS module. From here I still need to test ECU and wiring to it but I also noticed while looking through wiring diagrams that this black box on the VE pump is also connected to k-line. Considered I have issues with VE pump and engine wanting to cut out then I'm also going to check this out. I just searched to see if anyone has experienced similar problem and I just happened to find your video mentioning immo and shut off solenoid.
thank for shareing buddy

Nice 👍 where is this?
Thanks for posting these memories. I lived there in the 80’s, not sure of exact years. I’m Tim Rodwell’s son. I have a few memories from back then that’ll stick forever. I hope you don’t mind me commenting as I’m sure it wasn’t a place of joy for every kid there and for some probably quite the opposite. I watched your other video too and it was full of things I’d long forgotten so thank you again.
Actually, from the Facebook group, where there are many staff and young people who lived there, most are positive. Of course, not everyone had the same experience, which is respected within the group. You would be more than welcome to join cotswold Community School. Lots of pics, including videos and tours. Of what the home looked like and how it looks now
@@Adventure.with.Robbie oh thanks man I’ll check out the group. Big chunk of my childhood was there so it’s nice to have those memories again.
Why that black plastic thing in front?
It's a bonnet guard. To prevent stone chips

It's where I'm pointing in the video
What thickness of metal did you use and did you have to scrape a load of seam sealer out of the road wheel side of the wheel arch before welding? About to do this job too and obviously don’t want a fire 😂
Hi, it's just a standard 0.9mm metal. Yes, you will get plenty of seam sealer in places. Like old paint, it will just burn away and smoke a little. Of course, remove the worst of it.
Cool video Rob keep up the good work 👏 😊
Thank you 😊
I think I saw another video of this place - The Bruderhof used to live there and it was definitely in this area and it looks the same. Apparently, according to someone they bumped in to, it was going to be knocked down soon. Is this true, or do you know of any other plans for it? In the other video (which I watched over a year ago), they filmed in the window and there were still some old clothes and bits and bobs in there.
Yes, that's the same place. Some of it is going to be knocked down. However, there are some listed buildings in the centre of the home that will be saved
Are there any buildings that are accessible without force of course
Nice looking van! How much legroom do the front seats have? Would it be comfortable for someone 6'2" to ride around in?
Thank you. I would say its bigger than the vw caddy for leg room if that's anything for you to reverence from. I'm only 5.7 and there was about two clicks left in the seat. I would however think it would be a bit cramped for driving being 6'2" Maybe worth going and taking one for a test drive and see what you think
I was there from 74 to 76
I was there in the 90s. I'm not sure if you are already a member but we have a Facebook group called the cotswolds community. Where there is a lot of previous lads from the school and staff that worked there.

Was in Bristol not long ago he was redoing his t25 took the high top off to redo the van guess it a common rust area round windscreen and on the hight too ect
Yes both very common areas to go. My advice is once you spot rust get it sorted right away. This one was pretty obvious it had issues befor the roof rotted. First signs being the Gutters rotting. I have to say however the T25 seem to pass the test of time better than the more moden T4s or even the T5s thouth this is my opinion and may not be everyone else's experience
Alot to do on that had loads to do on mine also but worth it
Absolutely I cut the whole front end out and welded a original front end back in. Keep at it. Hope to see some videos of your progress
