I remember years ago trying to get into OoT speedrunning and I could NEVER figure out the OG DoT skip. I've recently been getting back into it and I was once again trying to learn the old method when I came across this and holy shit, I only needed like three tries to get the setup down and I was able to pull this off like it's nothing. I suppose it also helps that I finally built myself an ESS adapter (I'll be selling some soon btw, hope you don't mind the shameless self promo eheh). For real though, this is such a massive game changer and I'm excited to give speedrunning this game another shot once I have more time to really grind it out.

Instead of using the little turn before the jumpslash just go into view mode line up the r in return to the edge of the door and the jumpslash

At the end i have the invisible rock in my hand doesnt despawn if i go out, got correct angle but if i place it and go where i need to get the end nothing happen

If you do this at the beginning of the game will it mess up the rest of the game?

I honestly don't know this only has 125 likes. I've tried various videos and over many years I've never succeeded. You sir turned one of the hardest glitches in the game to one of the easier glitches. This is such big discovery and now I want to try this on a speedrun as I can already reverse bottle the final medallions and trigger sheik from fishing

Your video was a lifesaver dude! I'm a beginner with Zelda glitches, and even I was able to do this! Your method is nowhere near as complicated as the others! It took a few tries with the ESS bit, but on my third try, I finally got it! Thanks a bunch, man!

thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful! if anyone's struggling with getting the correct camera angle at the end of the run, here's what i came up with after some trial and error: when the camera starts snapping back, i still hold upleft until the moment the camera clips through the wall link is facing. when it clips, i hold straight down and the camera is at angle 8000 most of the time. when the babas despawn, just flick up (you can hold ess up after that to make sure you're facing 8000) and you can begin the tsundere setup. i can't wait to run this category :D

I’ve been trying the first setup for a while now but I can’t get it to work, the final roll always stops short of where it does in the video

Tried this for too long, heard you say “flick” tried it and got it first try.

So I've tried the beginner strat today after seeing this and got it once, but most of the time after the sidehop/dry roll part of the setup I'm facing too far left when you get to the final block link should be standing on. Is it maybe related to the timing of releasing the camera on the first roll or something? Doesn't help that I'm on a 20 year old controller lol.

i have been trying to do this everyday for a couple hours a day for the past few months on my nintendo 64, and i still can't do it... its the english version of ocarina of time that my great aunt got when it immediately became for sales in canada, which she bought in vancouver. the cartridge is very heavy and looks top of the line in symmetry and its probably the most original piece of anything i have ever owned in my entire life. but, does this glitch not work because the game has to be newer or japanese?
