Awesome. I lived in Ann Arbor in 1974. IDK about Sam but by then Shakey Jake seemed to be homeless and was a shell of his former self that played with Sam
So Proud of you Jonathon. What a heart felt song. You have a new peace my friend. God bless you for your sacrifice. I am so glad to be a part of this journey with you. I am an instructor for G4V, it has changed my life. I have met so many amazing hero's like yourself. God bless you!
What an amazing woman!!! I view her as one of my paternal sisters!!! I’m beyond grateful for her and her family in my life!!!
Absolutely beautiful! Well done and much respect to you.
❤❤❤❤❤ awesome
Thank you! -Tom
Way to go Jonathan! Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Inspiration to all of us who may be experiencing some of the same issues you are. Keep teh music playing to keep it and us alive. Well done.
are there any software that works similar to LogicPro?
Beautiful, thank you!
Appreciate it, Ed. Keep on rockin'! -Tom
Tom Great job, I love all these Christmas Songs. my current student has one lesson left before graduation. I have tried exposing him to the different aspects of the beauty of the instrument. We have gone over many wonderful techniques, for beginner, intermediate and expert players. I have explained during our introduction that at the end of the 10 weeks he will be able to play basic chord shapes and a song or two after the 10 weeks however, I have showed him not only strumming techniques, but scale patterns, improvisation skills such as bends, slides, hammers and pull offs , I have been affiliated with G4V for 5 years next month and its been by far the best as I have attended. You and Paul continue to provide so much inspiration that I try to expose a little of everything to the student in a short period so they always hav something to works on.
It's my pleasure, Dennis. Really appreciate the good words, so thanks! Keep up the great work your doing to help our veterans on their journey with guitar and music! -Tom
Sounds good brother, I sent my application in today!
Love this guy!!!

Thanks for these shows, it has been very inspiring. I am a 17 year army veteran and singer songwriter and seeing other people's path and stories are so nice. Great songwriting! Love it...
I appreciate you recommending all the aps, but what's available thru Android phones? The only app i could open was BandLab and it came with a subscription cost before you could use the tools.😢
Brother in Arms
Yes.
Great job, Tom
Great!! ...
Dude thank you!!!
Do you have more details?
I recently found out about G4V and waited until 1 October to join and all available seats were taken before I could get in at 1200. Curious about how many seats were available…? Thank you very much helping Vets and I look forward to learning guitar.
tHIS IS THE BEST RIFF IN HISTORY
Outstanding testimony. I just finished my 10th lesson today. Congratulations!
Anyway, Sam's Les Paul sounds amazing.
Awesome! Thank you Tom!
That was great!! Congratulations David!
Awesome
❤❤❤❤❤
You’re playing wrong.
🤣😎👍💕
Awesome playing and singing!!
Great job Ladies and Gentlemen. I really appreciate the window into your journey with guitar. Please continue your wonderful efforts
Outstanding!
Performed on a 1969 Univox with Maxon Magnaflux humbuckers. The necks a wonderful to play, and the Magnaflux hbumvuckers are a very underrated pickup.
My favorite pick is the Dunlop teck pick. Made of brass or something like that. Chirpy chimy tones.
Great job!
Thanks for your support!
Proud to say that my husband is one of the guitar instructors, in the Long Beach, CA chapter, of this amazing organization. It is truly fantastic! He enjoys every vet that he meets, they all have a different story and each one benefits greatly from the program. It is so worthwhile, music draws people out and really does heal.
Thanks and God Bless.
Thanks for producing and posting this excellent video. It gives a nice overview of the program for people who are new to the idea.
Makes me want to pick up a guitar. Great cause and telling of the story of using music to heal. Thank you.
Thanks Paul. What is the pick pattern you played at the end of the video? Sounds beautiful, I would like to try it. Thanks Brian
Thanks Brain. The intro and outro song uses a four note pick pattern that is TMIR. It starts over a G triad (e-string open, b-string 2nd fret, G-string 3rd fret and D-string 5th fret.
I don't understand the octave search with the "find F on the A string"
Hi Stephen! Not positive what your referencing but lets talk about several ways this lesson address finding the F note on the A string. Using your chromatic scale on the open A string, we know that the F note is on the 8th fret. Any notes on the E and A strings you can use the octave pattern of two frets up (in this case towards the sound hole, so the 10th fret) and two strings down (in this case the G string on the 10th fret) to find its octave. Of course you can also reverse this, start on the G string F and go two strings up (towards the ceiling) and two frets down (towards the nut) to find the F note on the A string.
Very cool lick and of course, great Sound. I wonder, what Amp hast been used
How can I donate a guitar without paying for shipping?
salut and love from romania
Beautiful!!
Great job guys. You guy forgot about ribbon mics lol. Just kidding. I recently had to research all this mic stuff my self and I also got the m58 sure. Thought that was great to hear in the video. Thanks again.

Dam sam. That’s one blistering lesson.
