    Chicago deep dish has unique sauce, vine ripened tomato sauce, at least at the best shops. Most pizza sauce is canned & pasty, like ketchup. A Chicago deep dish pizza will have chunks of tomato in the sauce. Makes for a different pizza exorriment.

    I've watched his video a couple of times. I thought you did a really good job. It just further reinforces that there are multiple variants of what everyone calls Chicago style pizza. All slightly different from one another period I'm going to try this recipe with my own dough of course but I'll do try the par bake first. Like you did. To see if that's going to affect the way I normally do a Chicago style pizza

    That sausage doesn’t look like it’ll cook right on top of that cheese. It should be the first layer on top of the dough

      You know, you could be right. But considering they're in business and it seems to be working, as opposed to you who's just some person on RUclips making a comment, I think I'll take his side and presume the sausages is cooking properly. But by all means, open up a restaurant and see if you can do better :)

      Chicago Deep Dish almost always puts the sausage on top of the cheese, then tops it with sauce. It must be the 45 minutes in the hot oven that makes this work.

      @JDoors actually yes. Both the meat and the vegetables would be cooked so it would be safe. But by not changing his gloves after handling the raw meat, he contaminated all of the vegetables in the bin making them iffy to be consumed raw.

    I understand how hot that oven is but I allways precook my meats before using them to top my pizza. Prevents cross contamination and insures everything's cooked.

    Made pizzas for years a thing I like to do is flour my hands so the sausage doesn't stick to your hands

    There never was anything called Chicago-style pizza. A local Northside pizzeria coined the name as a marketing/advertising ploy to make them seen a little different that the 1,000,000 other pizza joints in the city. The ignoranti latched onto the name so it has persisted. There is only one pizza: thin crust. The Great Oz has spoken.

    You touched the raw sausage and you pick up onions and peppers that's cross contamination hope you don't do that anymore because you can kill people
