Thanks for a lovely window into your world! I hope one day soon I will start to build my own dye garden. I love your channel and I also have my own sustainable art practice. You are one of my biggest influences. I am getting ready to launch a primary botanical ink system. I researched over the past 12 months and found all primary colours in nature. I found not all botanical dye materials blend with each other so I had to find the exact combination using magenta, warm yellow, cool yellow and cyan. I believe it’s unique and unfounded. I love your content as it’s equally artistic as it is scientific. It would be amazing if you would be happy to test my inks and tell me what you think. I could send you samples. ❤️

Hi Do you know the difference between calcium carbonate, calcium acetate and lime? I heard that when combined with vinegar the eggshells will dissolve, and wonder if this can be used for making lakes I also wonder if Gofun and lime have any connection. It would be nice to understand all the range of what can be achieved from shells!

Amazing video!! thank you so so much. I was wondering if you have a typical guide on the specific volume of dye solution, aluminum, and sodium nitrate you put in? I saw it was I think 40ml and 20ml of the latter two ingredients, but I wasn't exactly sure on how much volume of the dye solution there was. Cheers!

Thank you for this wonderful, thorough video. I'm just starting to experiment with natural dyes and this was an extremely helpful tutorial. Is it possible to use a food processor/blender to break up the flowers and leaves before boiling? You mentioned bruising the leaves with a stick. If I dedicate a processor to pigments and no longer for food, could it work? Would it release too much chlorophyll and make the dye turn green?

Indeed, I would love to reepat the process with sepiolite and indigo from Indigofera suffruticosa. Unfortunately, these materials are not available in my region. The final colour is directly related to the type of indigo pigment used.

Although I love learning new skills I am high disturbed by the fact that you’re helping yourself to rocks from national parks - that’s illegal and it deprives the public of that which is protected for a reason.

    • @JyotsnaPippal

I appreciate your concern, but I want to clarify that I always abide by the rules. Your assumption about me taking rocks from national parks with restrictions is inaccurate. It's essential not to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask, but please refrain from making baseless comments.thank you
