I use a SW900 with a BLDC geared motor... How do I set P07? because my speedometer only shows km/h when the BLDC motor is rotating

I just did mine. Got over 40 miles on throttle alone only problem is the wires and the controller box. I need to clean all that up as when I gey bumps the motor wires pop out of connection. But so far so good

Can't you just take the wagu fitment off and then connect the two wires to the terminals where the old flex cable was connected to?

it's a round-about, shouldn't need to use blinkers, unless it's a multi lane one. If someone hits you then they didn't yield to wait if it was safe to access the round-about. That road design at the end I would say without a yield or stop sign for the lane not using the round-about would be wrong, and a real danger to other divers.

Can't understand why anyone would buy a car without indicator stalks, you could hit a pedestrian or cyclist causing a fatality, it's not worth the risk, even if you take one hand off the wheel to press the button then you don't have two hands on the wheel and you're not in full control of the car in the event of a emergency manoeuvre. Why doesn't Tesla just sell a driver display, indicators stalks and gear select as optional service centre fitted accessories, the cars are amazing, the future, I'm sure they're losing many customers to their competitors?

I did about the same what TrevelyanOO6 did. I put a small white sticker next to the right indicator arrow. So I know which one to use when leaving a roundabout. One problem: it is quite difficult to see when it's dark. There would be a very simple and cheap hardware solution for Tesla: give the arrows a different colour. Green for right, red for left: problem solved. Other than that I don't miss the stalks.

10000% agree. This ONE thing is a horrible design change and the fact that they are doubling down on it baffles me. The whole purpose of stalks is that they don't move. This one thing is really making me hesitate about upgrading my current Model Y for the new refreshed 3.

I think they could fix it by bringing back stalks. Every time I drive my old model S I think about how crap the driving experience would be without the gear selector and indicator stalks. Simply reversing out of my driveway and switching to driving forward while still rolling is a fingertip operation. It’s put me off upgrading. That and Elon doing everything he can to be a fuckwit.

I agree that the stalkless design does not work on roundabouts. I would personally just go back to stalks but if they insist then they need to come up with a software solution to this problem like the one you suggest. As someone else also said they could change the texture of one of the buttons to make it easier to find as well and this wouldn't cost any more as the buttons are already different. Tesla find me a solution!!!

Of course in the US/Canada I don't use the turn signals anymore since FSD handles that including enabling the blinker when exiting roundabouts.

I cut self adhesive Velcro into arrows/triangles, the stuck the scratchy one next to the right button and the fluffy one next to the left button. Now it’s easy to tell by touching which is which. I am also keeping an eye on sexy buttons, to see if/when they release their aftermarket stalks.

UK Model 3 owner for 8 months. The indicators are really annoying, cause confusion to other motorists and are occasionally dangerous. I'd say I'm 90% used to them, but there are many times where it is impossible to indicate without becoming dangerously distracted. i.e. the only way to deal with it is not indicate. I am 100% used to indicators on stalks, they work perfectly. It wasn't something that needed "disrupting" by Tesla. There are 3rd party "solutions" but there are likely warranty and insurance implications. This stupid design decision and the idiotic behaviour of Elon Musk is enough to stop me getting another Tesla.

You're way overthinking this. The best description that I heard of this is that you just use the button that's leading the direction of turn. Turning the wheel clockwise, it's the button at the top which will lead that direction. Turning the wheel anticlockwise, it's the button that will lead that direction.

You seem to assume iPhone are the best phones. Having had both iPhone and Andriod I would say Andriod are far better. Apple have had little inovation compared to Andriod, with folding phones etc which fit better in your pocket, although it is personal choice.

Surely the turn signals are equi-distant? And surely both turn signals point away from the centre of the steering wheel? Just a thought...

Drive it a bit more. It’s really not a problem. For work I drive other cars and now find the stalks on other cars really annoying.

I haven't driven a Tesla with the buttons but I know for sure that I would hate it as well.

Due to cost of ownership of an EV I had to buy a used vehicle, my options were a BMW i3 or a Kona, I opted for the Kona after test driving both. I chose the Kona because I didn’t like the absence of physical buttons in the BMW, so to me the this is a design fault, if you have to hunt for a moving target while navigating a roundabout with all the other stuff you have to look out for I.E. idiots who don’t know how to use a roundabout, it’s too dangerous to be using this method to indicate.

I did not.experience similar problems. However, a good solution would be stealing from the high seas and merely adding some colour to the erroe sots its green for right (starboard) arrow and red for left (port) arrow.
