Heey man, nice job! I just started learning a few weeks ago too... That chord you are trying to move is movable, but you need to do what is called a "bar chord" which is pressing all the keys with your index finger and using the rest of the fingers to do the chord pattern. I think that's why your teacher told you to avoid using your index finger to do the chord. However those bar chords are difficult to do, they say it can take months to learn them well. I'm blind in one eye and I still like to ride bikes I'm 17 most of my generation doesn't even know how to fix a window AC that's pretty sad I knew how to do electrical when I was 13 I was employed at the age of 14 and made a hell of a lot of money because I was the best employee there I was never late I tried to never call out ever my work was always done at the end of the day I worked at a family-owned bar and grill then people were good to me sadly my place of employment ended up going under so I'm currently on the search for a job even though I'm blind in one eye and have arthritis doesn't give me an excuse to sit around I just rode a bike for 2 hours straight not slowing down 20 mph the whole time never get below 20 mph even in turns but most of my generation would be afraid to do any of the s*** I do if they were in my shoes because I can't see the greatest and also I have very bad joint problems but that's not a reason to sit around and be a little p****
