Nice take of a favorite song! It made me think of it in a whole different way. Hope you don't mind my saying that I could also hear a way that it would work by not changing the chords as fast. In other words (in four measures), first in Gm, the second and third in Cm, and then back to the Gm for the last back chord. And maybe not for the whole song. Maybe just for the "all I want is to breathe" and "never seen anything like that before" refrains. I'd like to know what you think. Peace!

The quiet version is also good. I listened to this original song from my teens to my early twenties. In a way, it's a nostalgia of my memory. I suddenly remember those days. I'm a writer now. I'll write something like your singing style, tune, atmosphere and nostalgia on a couple of manuscript sheets in a couple of days.
