Winter's Song - A Transformation Dance - Choreography by Rachel Byers
Dedicated to my fellow survivors of sexual violence. May you find freedom and peace in the One who created you. Your trauma does not define you.
This dance is my story, but I see more than just myself in this piece.
I see the faces of the survivors of sex trafficking who I’ve met over the years in the brothels in Germany, Cambodia and the anti-trafficking non-profits in California. I see the faces of the women at the Willow House, a hospital I went to in May/June 2023 to help me deal with the debilitating effects of childhood trauma. I see the faces of the trauma survivors in my online support groups who struggle every day just to stay alive.
This dance is all of us. Be free.

Rachel is an amazing example of what Grace really is and an amazing example of what Faith can do for people. She’s a very beautiful woman on the inside and outside. The message is very important.
