It really depends on the quality of the connector if you buy say from eBay there are so many copy cats it’s highly likely you got a bad batch. 🤘🏻

Thanks for the comment! The Dixon with the split pivot is a super bike for everything up to light Enduro. I’m a short arse so after I had added the dropper the centre bb to top of seat height was 23” my inside leg is 29 1/2”. I’d have kept the bike but as you say the 26” wheels are dated tech and you definitely feel it on the trails having tested a few 27.5” and 29” bikes now Iv had to bite the bullet and go bigger wheels. But if your on a tight budget a Dixon as a mullet 27.5” front might be a neat idea? Hope this helps.

Hi thanks for asking. So yes both Tamiya and mini Tamiya connectors are the same in every way but size. They are just a smaller design to be used in different restricted spaces. They were made originally for the RC market by the brand Tamiya they were the go to battery connector for the normal NIMH batteries but as the battery tech improved so did the connectors. @@PM_13 i have tamiya on my new airsoft gun, is this good or bad as on airsoft websites they tend not to sell it, if so should i just buy one of amazon or

@@Jeffsy1970 hi bud, Tamiya are ok to use but I much prefer xt30/60/90 connectors. These arnt used within the airsoft community a whole lot but there are the connector of choice in RC units and now some E-bike motors. I use them all the time and Iv never had a burnout or short issue. You need a good quality version so I’d suggest buying from a reputable dealer try looking on line in a RC shop. Hope this helps

Awesome video. I really like that heat shrink kit and agree 💯 on your connector assessment. BTW, you have your xt60 male and female reversed when you are pointing them out… trust me, the mustard one is female.

It was slightly that is correct. All sorted after the strip and re build with new spring.

This one hasn’t had much use but with the falcon fire control system I think overall the rif is built really well, if looked after it would be a great long term primary! I will put my money where my mouth is and purchase one for summer 2022.

@@FadedProduction I can honestly say that this rif of my friends is great, that being said it hasn’t been used and abused yet. I think double eagle used to be poor quality but now they are great and a few of my airsoft buddies own the same rif since seeing this video. I have the 904 g CQB version..I used it all day in a game so far it's tottaly bad ass..took down multiple players with it .. I love it so far

There is a way if you use some precision tools, basically drill out the grub screw the heat will loosen the locktite and then use another size torx to turn it out. I have done similar before on my rc cars and planes just take your time or send it to a shop to have it done. I could always do a quick tutorial for you if that would help?

Sadly life took the lead and all things airsoft have gone on the back burner. I did do a paint job though. So I may get around to documenting that in 2022.😜

Con con thanks for the question bud, so currently with the RIF being standard internally apart from the flat hop, we are using a 7.4v 1600 mah lipo. It can run an 11.1v lipo sadly I’m not aware of any that fit this stock without the extension cap for the stock.

@@PM_13 thankyou for the reply boss! I’ve got the same gun and I can manage to squeeze a 11.1 in there with grate difficulty lol but for some reason my gun after like 5mins vibrates 5times and says the battery is flat but runs perfectly fine with a 7.4 I don’t get it?

@@concon1593 ahh ok sorry Iv never come across this issue before. It may just the the rif shutting down due to the extra power and it can’t handle it? Wish I could help best bet might be to ask a local store to give advice on this issue or use the magic that is FB and ask on a group there. 👍🏻

Yes le graphiste .30g are working perfectly in it the flat hop works a treat with it.

@Dialed Sadly this versioned the M4/M16 (the honey Badger) is made with this type of stock in mind, but I suppose you could retrofit another buffer tube considering it’s just a M6 bolt that holds it in. That being said I think I’d just purchase another RIF with those capabilities!

@@PM_13 Hm. That’s unfortunate. I was hoping I could replace the outer barrel with a 5 inch one so that I could put a suppressor on that would sit flush inside the hand guard.

Yes my friend, it isn’t as good as the after market parts that can be purchased, but the idea was to go against the grain and try a quick mod anyone can do at home and try it out. It works better than the std hop unit and is slightly adjustable so I’d say it’s a winner Plus I enjoyed doing the work.

Thanks for the comment, ye the rif is one of the best iv had the pleasure of using and working one. Double Eagle have pulled out all of the stops with the budget priced rif. The trigger sensitivity and fire selection works a treat it’s simple and easy to use without an external control box.

Wow that’s great a decade of use and it’s still running, all be it with some standard fixes and modifications. That’s Definitely a positive, I’m afraid what will come out of this gearbox.

@@PM_13 Yep, being an accurate gas non blowback pistol, the crazy jet design improves consistency which results in better bb travel. However the most important thing you need for really get the most out of the mk23 is a good bucking ( maple leaf autobot 50 degree) with an i OR H key "nub", and with that tdc you made...
