1976 Commando registered as a 77. This is a very wonderful, almost completely original bike. Sounds amazing. Looks even better in person!

Nice bike. Although not a Manx, with lots of work tuning a ES2 you can outperform many Manxes if you're a good rider. Once upon a time I tried an OHV Aermacchi racer which was faster than my DOHC Manx.

These were a good bike in their day, I had a '54 it had been crashed so I fixed it up and road to work every day back in early 60s.

Excellent spot dude, yes that badge was introduced in i think it was early very late 50's 60's model triumphs, particularly Tigers and Bonny's...... my memory isnt so good these days, ,,,, I just wished i had collected my old bikes rather than selling very cheapy, which was the done thing back in the day

I bought a brand new TSX in 1983 from Eddy's Motorcycles in Leeds, mine was the more common maroon version. I've only ever seen one black example, that was in Bradford in late 1982.
Keep your Harley Davidsons. This.
That is a great sound.
I didn't realize Norton made a 77, thought they closed down in 76. I have two questions for you, I noticed you used the kick starter to turn the engine over, didn't that bike have an electric starter and when did Norton go back to those ugly crimped mufflers. My 75 had the full length tube with the little black baffles inserted in the ends.
If you look carefully at the footage near the start up, you can see the e start motor. The mufflers on it give it a great noise which you may not get with some of the silencers. Ride safe.

Yes, nice! Thanks for posting. Do both headlights come on together? I hate the newer headlights, where one is low beam, the other is high.
I'm afraid I don't remember for sure, but I do believe they both came on simultaneously.
