Hyper-Realistic Wood Sculptures That Defy Reality!
This is art and engineering in one. Awesome.
The Narrator described his work as a Masterclass in Storytelling, but it’s truthfully Multiple Master Classes all happening at the same time, simultaneously.
At about 5 minutes in she says "no erasers" I don't know if he used white-out on that particular piece she was talking about... But sometimes he does use white-out. Just saying, if you're gonna do a "How did he do it?" video... Try to include the whole picture. Badum-tish!
To be fair though, it's only tiny amounts of white-out here and there, if at all. Personally though, I feel zero shame in doing my art in GIMP with the freedom to erase flawlessly at will.
How incredible, but the commentary doesn't explain how he creates the optical illusion. I see the material he is using, but that's not what is creating the illusion, he could use anything trash or new. His work is deliberate, he's not just staring at a pile of stuff and says that looks like a bird. My curiosity is the decision of what distance from the working surface to place an object. I think it's more than just constantly returning to the point of illusion to see if an added object looks right. Using different definitions of a word; I see real made to look abstract, and now I see abstract made to look real.
❤
I bought brush pens because of him.
This is real art, to be able to masterfully imitate reality is what true art is about. It’s not about using your anus to squirt poop-filled paint on a canvas and pretend it is some ultra-genius-level IQ masterpiece. Leng Jun is a true master artist.
Ridiculous simplification and false. ‘Imitation’ is just one form of art. This painter has mastery of his art. But that is not what all of art is ‘about’.
@ Yes it is true. You also probably believe in infinite genders. 😅You’re wrong.
Heart attack at such a young age? I just wonder if he had the jab? He is shown wearing a face mask so possibly bought into the the fable of the ……… Such a shame that someone who loves their work should be snuffed out just like that.
as soon as I hear morons talking about “it’s like he has a superpower” i know this is made by and for the lowest common denominator. crud. blocked.
I can do this. It's all about repetition.
real creator
This is to Art what A.I. is to Photography. This is Technically Precise ILLUSTRATION, nothing else. A good camera does it better. ART can be captured by Photographers very well. PAINTING is in many regards, "Spilling" Yourself ON to the Canvas. Keep it PAINTERLY !!!
A good camera does not do it better. It does it differently. This painter has mastered colour and values. Photography cannot capture these things so masterfully. I know this as a photographer who often has to use pigment/paint as a notebook reference, because my camera will not capture reality of what I see with my eyes.
Rest in Peace
Tony Stark build this in a cave.
It’s Not "Laying June" It's *"Lung J'en!"*

Pls what type of paper do you normally use
died way to young
I remember seeing him when he was a young teen on That's Incredible or a show like that. He's even better now.
Excellent work, but being an artist myself, I can tell they're 🎨 paintings

The Legendary artist ever i love mr kim still so sad he passed away
The attire of the characters and the background architecture may look oriental but Chen Yuan Du successfully captured the spirit of the biblical stories he tried to convey. Thank you maestro.
If he was Chinese, he would drink in an "eared" metal rice wine cup and eat after breaking a chinese shrimp crisp (or a white prawn cracker), if he was Chinese otherwise his Chinese disciples would cruxify him themselves because you know how the Chineses love their foods !
But the Chineses used to drink wine not with a cup like this, no way. And also bread used to be stuffed with meat, it's awkward trying to break because the fingers will get dirty with meat !
乾杯
So marvelous ! Masterpieces ! Thank you Master of art .😢 🙏
Amazing
does he need reference images
He? Just is. He? Greatness, gone. Great doco, from? A gift. Practise.
Absolutely fascinating. Really different yet also aesthetically pleasing interpretation of the Last Supper, of Jesus and his disciples. Now if only there could also be a portrayal of Confucius and his students by some European Renaissance painter. :)
I was fortunate to meet Master Gi at San Diego Comic Con years ago, through the introduction of my friend. I also purchased an art book from him, in which he drew a beautifully detailed remark into the books' frontispiece. It will never leave my possession.
Perhaps a cleaver man such as him knows a way to increase the value of his art without actually dying.
Next chappati with Dal.
"Teambuilding" 😁😆
Man...I didn't know he died 😢
The detail 😳😳😳
Awesome! Christ is really for the whole world
No lie i much prefer the Chinese interpretation

Truly a legend.
Heu .. position très ambiguë sur le 1er siège .. C'est moche , ça sert à rien , c'est complètement inutile . Encore un pseudo créateur qui se fait des nœuds au cerveau .
This is not only art, it is magic and art. SPELLBINDING.
