    How can you go to all that effort to design everything so well as printable, and leave the tail to be a piece of crappy looking plastic sheet cut up like that! Finish the job mate. I've bought the plans and in the production process, but now know its just not going to look any good at the tail.

    • @guyb7995
      @guyb7995 5 лет назад

      That's if you designed it, otherwise, that goes out to the designer.

    • @franklesch9385
      @franklesch9385 5 лет назад

      Hello, the job is already done. There are new files for a printable tail. You can download the files again and print the tail. Unfortunately the 3DLabTeam didn´t sent a newsletter.

    • @pjak2000
      @pjak2000 5 лет назад

      Honestly - I prefer the tail to be PP sheet. It is stronger and just easier to make. This is a 1/12 scale aircombat plane. Its life time is reverse proportional to the time spent on building the model.

  • @pjak2000
    @pjak2000 6 лет назад

    Interesting. Can you please make a video on this technique: " first layer in standard parameter - pause - 25g/m^2 fibreglas on top, fixed with some tape - second layer with 50% speed and 5-10 degrees hoter" EDIT: ok - I've watched the movie to the end... But you need a really big printer to do that this way.

    I really like what you have done with the carbon stringers... what a great idea! this process makes it so easy to assemble and align the parts and I imagine it will greatly improve the strength.Do you have any other planes in the works? I almost have all the corsair parts printed and look forward to assembling it :D

    Hi Frank, hab die Corsair bei 3dlabprint gekauft. Super Klasse gemacht, druckt geht in Vase super schnell! Warum das PP fürs Heck? Drucken wäre doch einfacher gewesen als die Platte zu zuschneiden? Gibts "stl" fürs Heck zum drucken? VG Michael

    • @franklesch9385
      @franklesch9385 5 лет назад

      Hallo Michael, du kannst die Daten nochmal runterladen. Es sind Daten für eine druckbares Heck vorhanden. Dazu hat das 3dLabTeam leider keinennwesletter verteilt. Die Konstruktion ist für das Aircombat gemacht. Da geht es etwas rauer zu. Das PP-Heck hält den Belastungen besser stand ohne das man Angst haben muss das etwas bricht. Grüße, Frank

    Hi Frank, I am considering to buy your model, but are there any plans to update gcodes for Prusa printers? I can confirm, that my friend already bought and he is not able to print with your gcode. :( Could you please provide test gcode to me - only one part from fusulage?

    • @franklesch9385
      @franklesch9385 6 лет назад

      Hi Jan, the gcodes are already updated and will be published soon. Please have a look to the testpart: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3178034 In my opinion it is always better to use the factory files and generate the gcode for "my own printer". I have many comments about great working prints. So, it is difficult for me to create an universal gcode for all printer. Obviously, there are minor differences.

    • @janpichrt
      @janpichrt 6 лет назад

      I think that there are differencies, how Prusa MK2 and MK3 process gcode. We tested same gcode on MK2 with succes, but same gcode on MK3 fails... 99,9% cause is starting gcode script as I think. I do not mean it badly, but we are used to have perfect gcodes for all Prusa printers from 3Dlabprint original planes.

      @@franklesch9385 finally fixed gcodes for MK3 ;) i can share my gcodes with you if you want :) i have fixed fuselage_1 but generate for all is now matter of few clicks. Btw. is better to hhave more perimeters on fuselage_1 at start due very high angle. With 2 perimeters only, you will receive low strenght joint of motor wall with rest of fuselage.

    Hi Frank, nice model, i bought it immediately when you published it. It prints great with factory files and S3D and much faster than other 3DLabprint models due to vase mode (a brilliant design my friend), but why dint you made also the tail 3d printable and made a 3mm tunnel for carbom spar in horizontal stabilizer?, i cant get that material you used for the tail where i live... also what engine do you reccomend for 3S something with 1200-1400kv and 9x6 prop?

      Hi Dejan, thank you for this comment. I was thinking about the printable elevator and rudder for a while. Give me some days and there are files for that on thingyverse. A 3536 motor with 1200-1400kv on 3S with 9x6 is a good choice.

      Hello Petr, thank you for this feedback! I’m relay sorry about your trouble with that files. The gcodes was created in cooperation with the 3dlap-team. There was no problem at the test prints. I will double check the codes! Meantime you can use the factoryfiles for S3D or use the vase mode with 2 or 4 bottom layers in any other slicer software. Than, it just needs some cutouts in the fuselage parts.
