Maribeth Gorsuch On The Move To North Texas
War Eagle! 🧡💙 Great interview.
Thanks, Coach for sending Karlie Keeney to OU. She was a key component to our 4-peat.
Highly accomplished athlete and coach. 👏🏿
One of my all time favourite softball players. One of the best catchers!
Sooner nation we love you Kilani
Congratulations Keilani! I know you are Tiger now, but BOOMER!
Not just a threepeat but a fourpeat! Yup she certainly deserves a statue.
Go ladybacks! WPS!
Gasso family reunion at Bogle Park!
I’m confused when you say it’s about time women get what they deserve. A sport that makes little money, and she deserves it. Compared to men’s football and basketball that makes huge money. The only female in awhile to deserve it is Clark. She draws a crowd. The same reason the WNBA loses money. But the players deserve more. BS. I’m good with her coming. But saying deserves is a huge stretch in women’s sports.
E Lo, no Jayda Coleman starting in the outfield? wth! She has only been one of the best players on the back to back to back to back national champion team. E Lo I'm telling Sean on you. Your dead to me. 😂
The roster would have been any Oklahoma player that wanted to and sprinkle in some UCLA, Florida State, Okie State, and Texas players.
Thank you for this interview. Welcome to Raider country coach,
Welcome to Lubbock and Texas Tech, WreckEm Raiders! 👆
I am so pumped up about Gerry Glasco and the future of the Texas Tech softball program. Thank you, Tracy and John Sellers !!!! This was a great episode.
I hope McGwire, shows y'all Tech can win a Championship too along with every Tech sport!!! Along with all of the loaded TEs, and WRs. WreckEm!
E Lo with another great show.
I really liked Coach Pinkerton; he seems like a genuinely nice guy and a realist. Whether you love Oklahoma or not, they are who they are.
Good for women's sports for that deal. It will not be a normal thing when softball does not make money for the university's athletic departments.
Took money over championships you can say they had a good recruiting class, but they’re all freshman. Think about this she chose money over championships of being able to play with Coach Gasso coach, Jen Rocha, and to be a legacy an icon that the money she would’ve gotten in Oklahoma what outweighed anything where she chose to attend Good luck with your degree that says Lubbock.
Stanford will soon be out of the P4. So you're a jelious okie I take it. She wouldn't be able to compete for a Championship after 2027.
There are a lot of successful people who started out with degrees from Texas Tech University. If she believes it is important to have a Stanford diploma, she can return to Palo Alto for a graduate degree. I met a woman recently who was in charge of hiring engineers for a fairly large company. She saw my Texas Tech hat and remarked that she loved hiring newly graduated engineers from Tech because they knew how to work when they entered the front door. Not so much from the university located in Austin.
@@robertwalegir8677 A lot of legends in any field come from Tech!
Alright I'm sold. Glasco hire Lea as Texas Tech's final assistant. 👏📈
If I’m the top teams, I make sure NOT to schedule Tech which gives them the exposure they need to get ROI paying Canady. It would be a way of showing this wreckless behavior won’t be supported.
What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say😂
I'm feelin' the "NCAA will pit TT @ Norman for a Regional in 2025." It's what they do...just ask FL St
Tech just added a super recruiting magnet and the MAIN thing that Tech needed was her. An elite pitcher.
Sorry but you wasted a million on 1 player, wow 😂😂
Tech had the number 2 recruiting class in the nation this year on top of all the high quality transfers you know nothing😂😂😂
Maybe they have a remote (small) chance her SR year to get to WCWS but they won’t make it this coming 2025 year. The lineup is just not there and it’ll be even harder than what she had at Stanford. If I’m any of the top SEC teams, I wouldn’t schedule Tech or at minimum make sure to cancel any upcoming scheduled games. Why give them the benefit of exposure after what they did.
I am pleasantly surprised! I was certain she was going to Oklahoma.
Easiest path to a NC would have been Texas followed by OU or Florida. Texas had a good offer but Tech blew it away by 5-times
Thanks for having us on. Wreck em!
As a Sooner fan, congratulations coach. Getting Nijaree Canady is a great get. You did amazing things with the Rajun Cajuns. Wish you luck in the Big XII.
Money is obviously more important to her than winning.
It's obvious that's she's very smart.
playing Devils advocate Stanford has a bigger stadium what happens if she ends up being a bust in Lubbock
Please correct me if it's wrong but Stanford's stadium per google holds 820? Texas Tech holds 1100 and they have plans to add bleachers as needed which they've done for big games in past. Will make them permanent as it grows is the plan.
@@seeingscarlet_ I was referring to field dementions
@@Robfromcanada20Stanford is also a way lower elevation level. 95 ish feet compared to the pre historic rocky mountains.😂
It was all about money. I can't blame her for taking the bag. I would go to TTU if paid like that. It is great for women's sports and her only chance to get the money for her talent.
Sadly, that talent is gonna be wasted
Who cares if it's wasted or not only her opinion of that will matter. But I do know that with that NIL deal she just retired herself before she even had to start working.
@@mark_a_vigil A million dollars doesn't get you near as far as it used to.
A million is nothing nowadays, a nice house and car and a year or 2 without working then its gone
Holy crap! Finally some coverage. Got used to the constant data from you guys during the WCWS. Then crickets.... I've been going through withdrawls.
Where you in Chicago when Texas stole Texas aTm's lunch money in baseball.
Throwing out Oklahomans have every right to be excited. I do think OU fans defend what is now Devon Park a lot. Some react the second there is a perceived slight towards the stadium or the city. Especially when people use rotation of the WCWS as part of their argument. Overall I agree money is a huge factor in the move. 2 sports in 1 location for a fraction of the money? LA and IOC were on board pretty much instantly from what it sounds like.
Thanks for having us on. Wreck 'Em Tech!
Love Seeing Scarlet! Thank you for having them on
Kalin the goat.
Coach White needs to build his fanbase. This year playing at home against OU Texas averaged just under 2k attendance. Last year OU averaged over 4k attendance vs Texas. He is complaining that OU has a better fanbase. Wah!
Eric you are a loser........ Ou is great ...everywhere ... I played a lot of ball... what they did was unbelievable... Eric Im done with you
Really like when you guys have coach on. Probably tough, but please try to have on as many coaches as possible. The insight is great.
Thnx E-Lo & Vic for the all the coverage this season. Softball only continues to grow📈 Boomer‼️ 🔴⚪ 🐴
I believe this podcast has the wrong name. It should be "In the Burnt Orange Circle".
Nope. As a person that has listened to the show for over 3 years, I have always viewed this show as fair and balanced. Boomer Sooner!
Both teams left runners on base, hodge 2 errors it wouldn't been close. BOOMER
On the road...COME ON MAN
Thanks for having Jamie Pinkerton, he clearly brought substance to the show. He was fair and balanced in his view of both teams.
Wow Sooner Haters as hosts. first time watching the show... Not very balanced and seem to dislike of history being made. . appreciate what just what happen. don't be Texas homer (even if you are funded by them). Give Patty credit.
Not sure what you’re talking about. I’ve always viewed this show as being fair minded, having watched by for over 3 years.
Disagree. Vic & E-Lo are one of the few outlets that actually DON'T attempt to diminish what the Sooners have accomplished. They are the best in the biz.
Dude stop yelling
Texas acts like their fans can't buy tickets to the game too.
Love the content!
As far as the gameplan, I only question why against Ella Parker they were throwing her inside all game and she was actually shooting the ball up the middle. Then they get strike-1 inside corner against her and try to go back there and she again rips it like she did all game long. Next questionable pitch selection was you could see Jennings diving over the plate to cover the outside pitch and FL kept going there and she obliged w/ a HR
