This is our random life. My wife and I upload videos about our business. No day is ever the same with us. We have 2 kids and you will randomly see them from birthday parties and at time they are holding the camera.
My wife is an OT Driver Rehab Specialist homeanddriving.com. She trains individuals with disabilities to drive. Examples following a stroke, amputation, or someone on the autism spectrum to name a few. She has modified her Subaru Outback with hand controls. She has an instructor brake and gas pedal on the passenger seat. She is also a professor in a OT program.
I am a PT and Athletic Trainer. I work for the gov and a professor in a physical therapy program.
We own property in central Texas. Several acers have been cleared and leveled for a semi truck parking lot. OversizedParking.com
We work the land clearing the property of the over grown trees. Recently purchased a Kubota KX57-4 mini excavator. I have never run any heavy equipment so please don’t laugh to hard.

You will need to check with Veigel to see where you can get them. We only provide training. Sorry we can’t provide more help

For a device like this, if you accelerate till you reach desired speed, can you let go of the shifter and it will allow you to coast at said speed, or do you have to hold it at all times to maintain desired speed? Hopefully this makes sense.
It works just like the accelerator petal. You take your foot off the vehicle will then cost. If you vehicle has cruse control it should still work
This supposed to be educational video.. he might know how to do this for his mini ex but has no idea how to convey his message to those watching.
Sorry I did not supply a rubric for the how to. This video was very early in my RUclips days. What I post is for entertainment purposes and if someone learns something based on how I did it great. Hope you have a great day.

Cool! Currently I only got the simpliest kind of controls - two rods for pedals and a common handle for them. Haven't even used them so far, despite owning the device for over a year. But now my health is failing and I start to suspect, I might need something more serious, like this device in the video.

Sure there is but I don’t have $10k just sitting around. It was a good workout and I was sore for a few days for sure.
You should replace the Thermostat too while in there.

Yes it does. I have been at this road project for a while. I don’t have any explosives or cool old buildings or anything. Just a one man show with a mini excavator and some tools trying to make it work. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it. The other Mat (with 1 t)

You can find more information about the Veigel Right Hand Controls on the Veigel website. Not sure where you are located, but in the States it is required to have training and have a certified company install the hand controls
That looks like a pain, BUT I LOVE THOSE FINGERS and TOES, I WONDER IF YOU CAN PANIC STOP OR TURN OR ACELERATE UNDER STRESS, BUT I TRUST YOUR JUDGMENT!!

HELP, please. Problem is sporadic random overheating, accompanied with coolant liquid blown out tru the release valve on the plastic overflow container. I installed new thermostat (ebay), new water pump (the old one looks ok, and the rotor does not appear to be damaged) pressure test was good, keeps 12 psi for long time, exhaust fumes in coolant is negative, I pumped many many many times, the liquid remains blue... Any information will be greatly appreciated.

@@jorarch yes, the fan is working. if the fan were dead, then at high speed on interstate, it would not matter because the airflow greatly exceeds the fan flow. and i had overheating on highway.

Well the trees are not native and chock out the native trees for 1. I am trying to create a grassy field as we are considering getting some livestock for 2. I appreciate your comment strange or not.
How much was this set up
Really depends on the make and model of your car. The insulation varies approximately $1500 and the equipment was about the same. You would need to contact your local installer.

I purchased the water pump from Amazon
new, 69.99 on ebay +tax. some ppl only replace the rotors. the rotor is a strong magnet, and has some plastic wrap. this wrap goes bad. mine was fine. seems my pump was OK, because the problem reappeared.

What’s the miles on it? While it’s good to change water pump if you’re past 100k, I’m not sure how a partially seized water pump would lead to coolant loss. If miles are around 150k, that’s when head gaskets tend to fail on 3rd gen, leaking coolant into combustion chamber. Has the EGR system ever been cleaned? Clogged EGR and blown head gaskets go hand in hand with this gen. BTW, the front/centre jacking point allows you to raise front in one go. Good to chock rear wheels too.
Thanks for the comment the car was a 180k. The water pump fixed the problem. I chose to sell the car at 200k. It was needing a bunch of maintenance work brakes, tires,…. The repairs where more than what I felt the car was worth.
if pump is not working, or working sporadically, the coolant does not flow. at one moment, it starts boiling. the boiling is sudden and produces hot vapors, that travel tru the system, and get vented out of the release valve on the plastic overflow container. I had so much loss, that the coolant was dripping on the OUTSIDE of the car, making the passenger front door and front mudfender wet with coolant!

How did you Bleed The Air out of the hoses ?
The air released into the oil reservoir. Just had to cycle through lifting and lowering the bed and all air was out.
Since you had this for a while now would you still recommend it?
Unfortunately I have only had the opportunity to use it the one time in that video. I have a very big project that I’m looking forward to doing with it. I have had several projects that have taken priority. Like cleaning 7 acres of cedar trees 🌲 if you have seen any of my more recent videos

thats pretty cool whacha got for standard shift vehicles? i daily my Boxster standard shift with controls i built myself.... im an amputee.... below knee .... mid 50s male in our drivers license study material no mention was made over using hand controls nor anything on test regarding them..... my work history is racecar fabrication and hydraulics so usin a ATV throttle assembly for gas pedal and a half a old cane for a brake rod
That is cool ingenuity. I have not seen anything for manual transmissions.
@@matlandproject thank you sir... i looked around online for ideas and i was disappointed in the lack of info on standard shift equipment .... bein a old redneck hillbilly my next move was a no brainer....off to the shop/shed/barn/garage to repurpose some more of my hoarding addiction collection of parts n bits.... lol i have fabricated hand throttles for several VW railbuggies i have and i have fabricated rear brake hand controls for my YFZ450 and RZ350 quad and vintage racebike .... my next on my "bucketlist"? i wanna be a pilot... private .... in helicopters....
Those gaskets should be glued down.

Unfortunately no. The GoPro ate it. I just used a Tapcon on a hing so we could move the shutter up an down as needed

I just use heavy duty high heat grease. That is what I use on my excavator. No brand preference

I have similar issues with my Prius. I have a 2011. Changed out engine, water pump, sensor and thermostat. I have issue when I drive high speeds 70-80 mph up hill. Reservoir very hot almost to boiling temperature. Temp red light would turn on or flash and then when I slow down it will eventually turn off. My mechanic replaced literally everything minus the radiator and the inverter coolant pump. Can anyone please help???? No codes or no check engine lights just the red light engine temperature turns on when driving high speeds up hill for long periods of time. Is the issue temp sensor on EGR pipes? My mechanic has replaced with all OEM parts. Any advice? Toyota service rep says might be inverter water pump, radiator clogged up, or water pump. Just a had Toyota dealership diagnosed and they check for any leaks so it’s not the engine. They said water pump and thermostat. My mechanic replaced those 2 parts. I thought I was in the clear but I wasn’t. The car still overheats when driving high speeds 75-80 mph for long periods of time and red temperature light turns on again uphill at high speeds. Anyone please help and TIA Only radiator and inverter water pump left to be replaced and my mechanic is replacing it.
Wow you have had a lot of work done to chase down the issues. Unfortunately I don’t have any advice. I am just a weekend warrior who was willing to try switching out some parts. I got luck and fixed the problem by switching out the water pump
same problem here, but intermittent. actually, highway driving is better than traffic jam. yet, the appearance in my car is unpredictable. I changed only thermostat and pump, and checked pressure and exhaust gases. Seems like, I am going to flush radiator these days.
