Hi and welcome to SW Creations!
Described by many as a Maker and Inventor, I'm an Agricultural Engineer by trade. I learnt many varying skills in my time in agriculture which I apply to the work seen in my videos.
Recent and upcoming videos include part 2 of my Austin 7 build, a re-visit of my Ferguson tractor builds, Hay-Making, VW Camper build, VW pick-up electric conversion as well as coverage from local events that I attend.
Aside from a lot of my bigger builds I have some smaller, 'Workshop Makes' like my copper puzzle and plant pot legs, these smaller projects are almost my 'down time' projects. I thoroughly enjoy my large scale, vehicle builds but to create something small & quick and have that end result in under an hour is satisfying! Check out the Valentine Hearts I made for just such a project.
I have always been asked how I create what I do - well I will show you...
Subscribe and say hi - I always welcome new feedback!
Enjoy!

This is a video showing the Tucking Hammer that I made for a friend @Metal_shaper_tom . It's following off the Tucking Hammer made by @MakeItKustom who give a brilliant and more in depth How To Use video. It's a very useful tool for shaping sheet metal - like the vehicle bodies in some of my other videos.

I have no idea how it will look when it's all finished, or how long it will take, or how much it will cost.... But will be looking forward to it!
I didn't understand the sequence of events, but enjoyed seeing progress on the Unimog. Best wishes.
Hi George, I appreciate the feedback! This video is really just a flyby of what I've been doing on the Unimog, let you all know I am still here! A lot has happen in the last couple of months and I can easily run away with projects without filming - they're just so easy to get stuck into! A Part 1.2 in a sense! Take a look at the Part one video and I'm currently making and editing the next which will be slower and more like the Part 1 video. Many thanks! Simon
Good progress! Because my initial thoughts were pessimistic considering how this Uni-Mog was.
Well done. Great. I've always wanted to build a 7 special for trialling. Just completing a 1957 Morgan Plus 4. Much impressed with your well thought out workshop with English Wheel.
Hi Simon. I've been binge watching your vids and have some questions for you as I've just purchased a derelict '36 Ruby. I intend to turn it into a "special". In one video, you mention that you've lowered the frame 5" to turn it into a "special". Firstly: How did you lower it? Secondly: The 36" Ruby has the "lowered" chassis I believe. Does it need to be lowered further? My goal is a Nippy-type look. Thirdly: What is the best UK source for parts? In particular, I'll need .010 over pistons and other engine components. Fourthly: You seem to indicate that you sell some sort of electrical conversion for the generator? More info please. And Finally: I hope you'll get on that "MG Airline Coupe" looking build. Yes, it's complicated, but it would be a wonderful accomplishment. Check out my RUclips videos. I think some will interest you.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🌹🌹🌹
Top show. ✌️👍💯
New subscriber. Oak Swamp Bryan, Bracket Factory Chris, Metal Shaper Tom, now SW creations, all in the UK. Then there's Bennett Customs out of Australia, and Make it Kustom, Canada, and many others🙂 So much interesting and excellent content with so few hours in a day. 😞 While I can't seem to get out of the rabbit hole, life is, none the less, good.
@90FF1 Hi there! Welcome to the channel. That's a lovely comment to receive, I really appreciate that. Hey - we've all been in the rabbit hole, you follow some great channels there - see if anything inspires you and we are all here to chat and advise if ever want to give something a go! Life is out there for the taking!
Am looking forwards to the body build. I admire the restraint restoring the mechanicals first.
A good video, gives a great summary of where you are, thanks!
Lots of cool projects... but do you really have time to work on Tom's ;-) (Only Kidding Tom!).... I do like the large poster of the Austin 7 pits on the wall!
All your projects look so interesting I bet that you find it frustrating that there are just not enough hours in the day to work on them all (and not enough pounds in the bank to pay for all the necessary bits and consumables. Best wishes.
Thank you for your interest George! No, never enough ££'s
Might be worth contacting Kasper from the KJ Offroad channel on here, he's rebuilding a couple of old Unimogs (amongst many other things) at the moment.
how long is the wood in the steamer, and how hot is the steam?
Does it works for any wood? I want to test this method on rosewood and teak, which are very hard and oily species
hi there ( S W ) , as I watched yourself " checkin' - out ' your ride , in the garage / driveway . The time stood still ( for me ) as I went back ( a half century + ) when I had similar experience s s s . My heart went out to as I watched the " mayhem unfold " . With ( loosely fitted mechanical connections ) , if at all . Your " prepped body work " getting shunted , by your own undoing . ( SORRY S.W. ) , I could only sit & watch ( been there / done that ) , BUT , " it's that first sign of ( mechanical ) LIFE ! " . It's a childish ? ( dare I say ) verging EXPERIENCE ! That's the sheer joy of creating ( mechanical ) LIFE ! . GOD BLESS YOU , keep - up the great work , from Sydney , Australia ( 05/07/'24 ) C.S.
Hi there! Oh exactly, and I have had many experiences like this but it's what keeps my work fun, exciting, varied. I've learnt from mistakes and think it's what's helped me get to where I am today. Thanks for watching and enjoying the content! Simon
lol made a little pot head
I want to do this :0
glad to see another one being rescued cant wait for the project to take shape :)
great project!
Shame about the loader driver I would have recast the role for someone who more a face for RUclips than a face for radio.😂😂👍
Great footage mate
Would love a customised ford pop. Had one 30odd years ago but done nothing with it. Got sold without me knowing ☹️
Ahh, that is a shame, get another one and I'd love to follow your progress! Do it!
Well, that's a bit different to an Austin 7. Good luck with it and best wishes.
It is a little bigger isn't it? :-D
Please be careful if there is any dried pigeon pooh on the car. It can be fatal if inhaled. Good luck stay safe 👍
Yes fair comment, Fred Dibnah had a bad incident with pigeon mess and infection. I should have worn a mask but I was aware of the dust - the doors had been open before to help air. I do advocate safety gear in my line of work as have seen some nasty consequences. I now have the dilemma as to how to deal with the rust and mess of the vehicle, think I may get it shotblasted. Thanks for commenting and watching
Brilliant!
Hey! Thanks for watching Alfie!
No worries Simon !@@swcreations
What front suspension and brakes? Such a cool build. I am looking to do a very similar build with a ford flathead v8
Hi, I used the standard Ford Pop front axle with an MGB disc brake conversion. An used an MGB axle on the back. Good luck with your project, they're fun to do!
hi. Could you help me, how long does the wood have to steam, do the pieces break?
Hi! The wood I used in the video is 2" x 2" soft wood, I steam it for 65 - 70mins and it bends fine. It didn't break but you bend it gradually down as seen towards the end of the video. Thicker wood - so say 4" x 4" - steam for around 2hours. Trial and error sometimes as I did have pieces break on me, don't ever go into a project without spares!! Give it a go - check your set up and temperature. If it breaks try again by changing something - or message me and we can have a think, happy to help.
Can you please show how to put this together
Hey, sorry I didn't respond earlier - I will see if I've got footage of the full steam set up and upload up. It's a reinforced drainage pipe - that's the steam chamber, one end has the plug that you see me take out in the video, the other end is blocked in a similar way but with the wallpaper steamer pipe leading into it. So instead of the wallpaper steamer attachment, it is just the pipe. The forming bend I made myself and is unique to the angle of bend I wanted.
Looked so cool, I've never seen it at any shows?😊
Thanks ihave that tubing didn't think about using that
nice work - keep em coming!
Brilliant video Simon ! Had a nice day helping you with that.
Very neat and tidy. Just need to make sure that anyone using a spacer like this still has room for the ai4 cleaner.
⚒️⚒️⚒️
cant wait!
How is your project coming along Tom? I've been waiting for the next instalment very patiently!
@@thebracketfactory making good progress. Hopefully a new video with the next couple of weeks 🤞hopefully worth the wait 😂
looking forward to it! @@Metal_shaper_tom
That stamp was cool. Alas for all I own a lathe its not really "commissioned". Thats a nice "doesn't really matter too much if its not the size intended" project to get back into it.
Ive driven my own car into my own car twice now. I now aspire to driving a chassis into its removed body. Thanks for adding from the archive.
It only counts if on caught camera!
New video sir
Do you want to see more videos on the tractor?
Thank you sir yas sir video with lod is tractor pawar. ! 🙏jai hind
Great video mate! That hammer turned out awesome!
Thank you very much!
Awsome video Simon. They keep getting better each one you do. Can’t wait to use the hammer !
Beautiful
How did I just know they were not going to be normal legs 😂
Hi love the build….. what type of body are you building…. Coupe ….pick up…..??…..like the engine detail 😎👌🏽
Hi Colin Thanks very much! I don't think the engine bays are always given the attention they deserve on classic vehicles. So I'm putting a 2ltr Lagonda high chassis Tourer style body on it. The body will be covered in vinyl.
I hope you had a VERY good reason to sell that! You should try to buy it back 😅
Space. Kids. Funds. From selling this vehicle I was able to fund the red Austin 7 car (plug: video in my channel!!) so yes, sad to go but moved on to good things. (The kids not just the cars!)
Great content as usual mate!
Thanks, appreciate the positive feedback!
Another smashing project. Best wishes for 2024.
Many thanks for the good feedback, glad you liked it.
Watching from across the pond. You've come a long way from what you started with! Cheers
Hi! That it really sound feedback and I appreciate it a lot - I can get a vehicle together easily but to put a VIDEO together, that's WORK! More coming soon, currently working on a 1000 subscriber video and a tool video. Enjoy your videos - keep wanting to catch you on one of your live videos! (time difference issues!!)
That looks very promising. With a six cylinder side valve engine and an open body it should drive very nicely. I hope you post more of your progress.
Thank you kindly, I will certainly be getting more videos of progress up so keep checking back.
Interesting , I'm restoring an 18 York , slightly later than yours with great local historical interest and the body and interior were virtually as bad as yours !.You can get a fair amount of mechanical parts including gaskets and Girling brake parts from the Austin 10 Drivers Club.
Fantastic! Ah, grim isn't it when the interiors are as bad as that - but just makes the end result even sweeter. I appreciate your recommendation there, I've noted it down, many thanks.
