Since there's a lot of interoperability between different chains from different network, its architecture is designed to either have abstraction layers to unify this methods or just directly pass the procedure calls and execute them and let it figure out which node (from different blockchain) will process it (validate it)? The intention is good but the complexity and overhead might affect the performance of the network.
