One of the sweetest and most moving Buffy/Spike moments. In season 6 they were toxic and dysfunctional. Earlier, he could be kind of creepy (though kind of funny) stalkerish, and then, "Seeing Red." But he kept wanting to improve and he did, traveling halfway across the world and undergoing grueling and dangerous trials to become a better man. THIS speech (second only to his sacrifice) truly shows his growth, and love of Buffy. No longer simply WANTING her, he builds her up, gives her strength, confidence and the will to keep going. Powerful stuff.

This scene ... Smecker conducting the choir in his head. He knows the passion grit, and desperation you feel in a fire fight. The all or nothing rush that inspires equal measures of aggression and self-preservation. The warrior poet.. beautiful scene.

II Duce was the lone man with the 6 guns. That is the dad of Connor and Murphy. Very deadly character apparently. I dont understand why he would shoot at his sons. Didn't make sense that scene.

I always hated how they neutralize the blood but ignore Rocco shouting "they shot my fuckin finger off" like i know they need to find his finger for stoey reasons but i feel like we coulda got there a smarter way

What few notice is that Chaucer asks Jesus to rescue him from his current tribulation...and He does.

Before "John Wick" or "Nobody" there was "Boondog Saints" Rather then Wick's sharp, smooth Gun-foo, you had the Brother's flowing opera of violence painted with harsh ruby strokes in a bloody omage to Peckinpah. A harking back to a simpler form of entertainment. One less concerned with realism, complexities of real-life conflict, or the consequences of unfettered violence. Dialogs sharpened to a dazzling razer edge that cut to the bone of the character's amoral but uncompromising personal ethics. Boondog Saints revels in the folklore of the antihero. Cloaked in plot-armor, armed with never ending armmo, you find yourself swept away on waves of red corn-syrup and swelling choral music. Factual? Of course not Fun? Undoubtedly. And you have the mad-genius of not only William Dafoe BUT ALSO Billy Connolly! Yes sir. Top up my drink and strap me in. 😀
