I was the EVA POC for the ACS repair, and spent a lot of time with STS-125/SM4 astronauts John Grunsfeld and Drew Feustel training for the ACS Repair. During their last training session at the Goddard Space Flight Center in April 2009 there was discussion on the recent change to the turn count limit to release the Card-loks on the electronic boards. John asked me to send him a reminder that he ...

My daughter Allyson put this together as her gift to me on Father's Day 2011. She collected photographs and memories and pieced them together against background music from two of our favorite singer-songwriters, Trace Adkins and John Hiatt. Thank you, Sweetheart - this means more to me than you will realize for some time. And thank you, Trace & John, for capturing what only a Dad can know.

STS-125 astronauts Mike Good and Mike Massimino thank members of the Hubble Space Telescope Project from space for their help in preparing them for the HST SM4 servicing mission.
the skull head on his desk says it all!
And remember, 20,000 in 1946 when this film was released is the equivalent of 283,000 today.
Plot twist: Henry Potter is Harry Potter's great grandfather
Democrats don’t understand that they statically give much less to charity than conservatives
What gets me is Mr. Potter doesn't receive any comeuppance for his greed considering he's one of the most despicable movie characters of all time.
Mr Potter , I'd say that in the whole vast configuration of things , your nothing but a mealy little spider 🕷️ !! Ahh haa haha hah!! 😂.
What RFK Jr should have said to Trump after shaking his hand. Personal integrity is everything!
A modern day George Bailey is supposed to speak anytime soon about an impending deal with a modern day Mr. Potter. Was supposed to speak at 2pm. I’m wondering if he is having some reservations about this and I don’t mean Indians.
My top 3 movies of all time. I'm 58. The Godfather. The Godfather 2. It's a Wonderful Life.
I love this movie so much. Two phenomenal actors showing their talent and portraying something so real it’s visceral.
Part of its profound timelessness
All you have to do is change Potter to Trump in your head and this scene makes perfect sense.
Yes. Trump knows that RFK could be a problem for him and is going to offer him a cabinet position if he drops out. Hopefully RFK will follow George Bailey (say no).
Adjusted for inflation since 1946... Probably earlier in movie plot... $20k/year is like $320,000/year... On a 3 year contract... Almost a million. Potter would have found a way to null and void contract anyway...
Mr. Potter is the real hero of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” A responsible, prudent businessman. Meanwhile, George Bailey is running around in the middle of the night with flowers in his pockets, jumping off bridges because he thought he saw angels in the water.
This says a lot about you
@@maver7ck just tell me, who would you rather entrust your money with. Don’t say George Bailey, because we all know that’s not true.
I understand potter is the villain and George the good guy. But I'd like to know more about Potter , wish he had a backstory. I damn sure he grew up in poverty and had to fight for everything to survive , and it turned him in to a cold callase buisness man
Yeah probably like a warped scrooge mixed with Charles kane.
Mes petites enfants, do you want a little shrimp?
To me, Potter is a tragic figure. Unlike the Grinch and Ebenezer Scrooge, Potter doesn't change his ways and turn into a good guy.
God damn degos!!!!!!! Greesy Italians! Whops!!!! Damn garlic eaters.
Integrity moral compass, way to go george! 👏
1:55 watch it in French. You’re welcome Home Alone fans😁
0:49: Look at Potter's sly wink. That's the signal that he's lying.
And he doesn’t say what he’ll do after 3 years even if he kept his word.
“You cant just buy people Mr. Potter. You know what you are? You’re a little bitch. Thats right you’re a bitch and i’d bet you’d like to suck it wouldn’t ya?”
In todays terms, that's roughly 370K a year.
Notice how Potter only offered George a 3 year contract? Potter would have kicked George out on his ass once he took over the Building & Loan. George should have countered with a 10-year contract @ 30k per year just to see what Potter would do.
I never noticed that Mr. Potter has a picture of himself on the wall 😆
Can’t watch this seen without thinking of home alone
“No no eh-no-cank-ka!”
Potter has a big portrait of himself on the wall. 😀
He still kept the cigar though.
Since Home Alone 😱
The handshake... man that was he whole key, right there. George was a good man, potter was bad, twisted and evil. More machine now, than man... oh wait wrong movie
Potters hand was stone cold.

1:57 Home Alone
Mr. Potter was reincarnated as Sen Rick Scott of Fla. as an even more evil variation of serpent man.
One of the ironies was that Potter had denounced George for underwriting a $5,000 loan to Ernie, who had no credit nor savings and had to support himself as a taxi driver. The basis was that George had confidence in Ernie's work and their friendship. Potter says if George keeps doing this it will give us a "lazy, discontented rabble instead of a thrifty working class". Yet when George is in the alternate universe of Pottersville, it has pawn shops, honky tonks, and strip joints all patronized by the likes of the "discontented rabble" Potter warned us against.
This is the kind of acting any aspiring actor ought to be studying.
For freaking ever!
2:07 Potter has a picture of himself on his wall. That would enough for me to say NO!!
😂
1:55 this clip in English, but in Home Alone, it sounded in French
I am going to say no to Mr. Potter. He's a rat and liar. And a robber
The way he says 'OK MR. POTTER' and shakes his hand, then freezes his emotions like he just shook hands with the devil himself...
Jimmy Stewart’s true acting without words
Mr potter is the devil, and George is the man who doesn't make a deal
It's interesting. Nobody in the movie smokes CIGARETTES. There several scenes including this one where the characters smoke CIGARS and in another scene George Bailey smokes a PIPE. I guess since this movie is geared towards kids, they may have felt that having characters smoke cigarettes was bad. However, we all know that Santa and Frosty the Snowman smoke a pipe and big wigs smoke cigars. I guess they felt that the movie would favored better is the smoking was with cigars and pipes instead of cigarettes which nobody today seem to like.
You gotta love how when this movie was released, Potter was the epitome of callousness, greed, and clearly meant to be th bad guy. Fast forward to today and he's the Conservative poster boy running Twitter or Amazon.
George made the right choice
Mr Potter basically preaches common sense, practical lending. If we had more Mr. Potters there would have been no Great Recession and financial ruin for so many lower income families
I hope you're kidding. Because if you really think Potter is the good guy in all of this then you're as morally bankrupt and evil as he is. And you do realize that Potter wanted to throw all the poor people out of their homes and ruin the families, right? Try watching the movie.
@@kendallrivers1119Mr Potter did one thing that was “evil” in the movie and that was withholding the money that George’s uncle wrongfully gave him. Everything else, your heart is bigger than your brain, which is dangerous. How many times does George coming begging for money from Potter, because Potter is the only sensible and responsible banker in town? George literally spends the whole movie begging people for money to help keep his insolvent building and loan afloat. If Potter is building overpriced slums, why isn’t George Bailey able to build better homes, for a more affordable cost to the consumer? He should be able to sweep the market and make a profit, but he is never able to. George Bailey more or less wants to start up a subprime mortgage scheme, which will ultimately bankrupt his family company (again), and financially ruin all of the lower income people he irresponsibly lends to. Did you even live through the Great Recession? That’s what George Bailey is trying to set up, is a sub prime mortgage business that will lead to disaster for everyone in Bedford Falls. Trying watching the movie for what it is, and not just be manipulated by the narrative seen through the gaze of George. Roads to hell are paved with good intentions.
His ego would seem to be his Achilles' Heel, (exhibit A, that painting) George being saved must've been really stressful for him.
The part at 1:55 reminds me of Home Alone
Lionel Barrymore is the quintessential Devil's advocate!
20,000 dollars a year yippy skippy and I still get Christmas day off?
Mr Potter was the true winner. He got paid to destroy gorge life. Love is nice it takes money to make the world go around.
Devil comes dressed like Mr Potter use your situation to further this evil caused life thanks adam and eve you what they say about opinion ah
1:56 Home Alone in France be like...
“No no eh no kin kaa!”
i feel the same way George Bailey feels when he shakes Mr. Potter's hand every time i have to work in corporate North America , like having to shake hands with the Devil
