A short video to show you what the ship is like and also the pet areas.
Hi Geoff, another question, which ship to the canaries do you think is best with dogs? Thanks. Jeremy
There used to be two routes. One from Cadiz and one from Huelva, but, I think the latter has stopped. They both now go from Cadiz. There isn't much difference between them travel wise. If you are on the Trasmediterranea ship you can't go down to the car deck. Most cars are on the main deck but campervans aren't as too big to go up the ramp. The Armas one you could go down at se times, which was great for taking stuff back to the vehicle. The Trasmediterranea ferry can be very busy with cars and walking the dog can be challenging. The Armas one had the top deck with lots of room. If you are on that one get the dogs to that deck fast as not many large kennels.
Hi, I've just found your video as we're thinking of going to Fuerteventura with a motorhome and two dogs. Can you also access the deck below the one you were on where they park the motorhomes. All the dogs seemed very calm😊
We are planing to use this service in 3months. My Q is - what about dog’s toilet ? (Nobody asked this question so I’m wondering what in the situation when dog needs to poop/wee?) thank you in advance
Basically this area is the dog's exercise area. This is also the toilet area. There are, or were, bags for the pooh and bins to put it in. There's also hoses at each end to swill any wee away. Not the best but basically what you see is what you get. Hope this helps. Have a nice trip wherever you are heading.
@@geoffbuck4113thank you so much for your reply.
Can you bring your dog to your cabin also if you purchase a cabin ? Thanks.
Only if you purchase a dog friendly cabin.
That's the finest yeah thanks for the info 👍
@jamesburke9952 If its a small dog you maybe able to sneak it in..
Can you take cats
Yes you can but they could be afraid with the dogs barking.
Wtf Baleària has the same ferry
En el Ciudad de Alcudia que va a Palma de Mallorca los perros viajan contigo no están en en jaulas pero el barco está mucho mejor ese el otro deja mucho que desear
We’re traveling to Ireland next week with our boxer! Thank you for the useful video!☺️ Is the procedure easy when going with dogs? Do you have any recommendations?
The process is fairly straightforward forward. Your dog needs to be muzzled when you get on the ship. You ate supposed to have them muzzled when I public area's but no one does. Sadly we lost our boy last week. He had tumours on both prostrate and bladder, which meant he couldn't go to the toilet at all. We are gutted.
Hi Geoff, great video and very useful. Did you notice if there was any locks on the kennel doors? Have to say they looked a bit flimsy and not that secure from the little I could see, so I'm just wondering if locks are recommended/used by guests.. Cheers
Thank you. To be fair I don't know as we had a pet friendly cabin. We have our own lock and chain just in case. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
@@geoffbuck4113 Thats sound mate, i'll just bring a suitable lock. Cheers
Are you restricted to one dog?
I don't think so. I am sure there were people with more than one. I think when you book you can choose the number of dogs you have.
Up to 5 animals (dog, cat or ferret) per car :) ruclips.net/video/LJr-vXcfV7k/видео.html
Looking to use this ship next summer just wondering has it got a pool
I never saw one. Good ship though.
Aside from it being so small the deck doesn’t work with the amount of non dog guests drinking /using the deck for smoking. Bizarre that they allow this happen. Once the evening sets in it seems to be a very busy spot for this.
Best dog cabin and Brittany Ferries are going to HAVE TO INCREASE DOG CABINS FOR SPAINISH PROPERTY OWNERS
22 hr WET in bed in kennal s
Decking was A FLOAT SO AFTER DOG WALKING THY RETURNED WET AND SO IN BED STAYED WET FOR 2HR
Are you allowed to leave your dog for let’s say 30 mins in the cabin whilst you have lunch? Or is room service offered? Thank you
We left our dog in the cabin. They can't go inside the ferry, only the corridor from the cabin to the dog walk area.
Cheers Geoff thats very helpful. We are using the Salamanca soon. Do you have any other videos or dog tips? We have a dog cabin.
Not really anymore videos BUT a good tip to make more room in the cabin is to lift one of the beds up. There are straps on them that you can put across the sheets (like you would do in a suitcase to stop your clothes from moving). You are also very close to the dog walking area too. Enjoy the journey. It is good.
@@geoffbuck4113 thanks buddy, looking forward to it
