Sons of Rockin' Rockin' Cigar Box Guitars in Concert
I want to listen to more music by sana ndaiye where can I find more of his music?
Should have got one of these
Fantastic, the voice and instrument go together so well! Yes, the daddy of the banjo🪕and the origin of the popular clawhammer, frailing, playing technique. More generally, Africa's foundational contribution to the basis of popular music in the modern western world is undeniable.
What happened to video 1 of 6? It's a shame to lose it 😟
Nice sounding Cbg there! Mine is also a 3 string tuned to Gdg. Mine is fretted. On my cbg I use a NAPA 5/8" standard depth 3/8 drive 12 point socket. So, it's a stubby one, but works good for me on the narrow neck. I sometimes use it on my 6 string guitars too.
Beautiful Music!
The Saz is a Turkic instrument- I know there's plenty of people who would get unreasonably angry hearing it be called an arabic instrument This is an awesome looking instrument, and I love the utilisation of Zither pegs
Please encourage the people of Gambia to notate and document their songs and work, so that they can keep claim of their work, and that we can share in their artistic expression.
He thinks he's the shit, lol
جميل جميل
I thought cannot was a single string
Small can, like a olive can canjo are more classified as a can diddly bo. But four string and five string banjos were wildly made from what could be found, later banjos had found such popularity that just about every furniture company also made banjos all through the 1920's
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the post this is awesome ❤️❤️🎤🍺🎸🇳🇿
Charles Augustus Lafayette Lamar , my second cousin five times removed...he was also the last confederate officer killed in the civil war...is buried in Savannah in the Laurel Grove Cemetary.

My Step dad Lionel T. Cable was on the U.S.S. Savannah when it was hit.
John Abram Sadly my step dad passed away in 1997.
Is there a video showing how the bass was made? I'd love to build one.
It's a socket- not a wrench. And a 36" socket 'wrench' (he means socket in mm) would be as long as or longer than the guitar.
you smear paint, its seriously the easiest thing ever to do, takes no talent you cant mess up! master 10th generation idiot
Hey, this guy is a fucking genius....... there are not many people evolved enough to even know this.....

I imagine that the slaves went through many incarnations of the banjo that looked like these examples.
