Recorded in Suburbanville, in the southern part of Valleyview in Grand View county. The sirens got cut off because of an incident in Bloxton county.
Grand View county has a good selection of sirens, including thunderbolts, a 3T22, a screamer, and a cyclone.

This EAS recreation is dedicated to those lost during the destructive December 10th, 2021 tornado that hit western Kentucky. Since there were no recordings from Mayfield itself, I thought it would be good to try remaking an alert myself, using the original text data from the NWS. I've attempted some better methods of muffling the audio for this alert too.

I think some mentioned that Valleyview has a few Modulators and possibly some DSA's, I also think there were some word that they placed some of those said sirens next to their Thunderbolts for backup in case if a component fails on one of the Thunderbolts. I could be wrong, but who knows? It could also vary by the density in some areas. EDIT: According to some discussions from a few years ago, Valleyview did in fact (and probably still does) have DSA's and Modulators and some are in fact installed next to the Thunderbolts

This was not an early activation. Phones went at 2:18 and FM/AM and TV stations went at 2:20 as scheduled.
@SouthernCOandNorthernMO The funny thing is that all of the sources I checked before it went off didn't say 2:18 anywhere, I only knew it was that time well after it actually happened.

This one is a UV, since all of the MCs were replaced during the modulator replacement of the WS-2016s in the mid 2010s.

Why does the Clarity only make a tempest sound! Why it can make it's own sound! Im just frustrated that's all...
Normal Clarity sirens will use the standard ASC electronic tones, but they just decided to use the tempest audio for this part of the system.

The horse park does have a siren, yes. However, it's located within the campgrounds behind the pool.
btw ik where all the old whelens went. go down the road near clark moores and theyre all taken off the poles. aswell as a 2904 still next to a t-128 before you get to the pile of damaged/taken off pole 2904s and 2906s
Yes, I've been there before. I actually spoke with a guy from the company who's handling it and he said that they're all being repurposed in some way. I read an article a while ago from Hodgenville/LaRue county (~90 mi. from Madison county) saying that they purchased at least 26 of them. I haven't heard much since earlier in the summer but I've been trying to find out more info as it comes out.
