I like the planetary pegs. But they can keep the violin. It sounds choked to me.

Don’t know if it’s the cello or those strings, but the sound is too harsh for my liking. Would have been nice to hear it with another set of good strings, to compare the sound, like Larsen soloist.

I bought this model in 2019. It's my first cello and has been good to me so far. The video is an accurate representation of what I got. Deep lows and sweet highs. Harmonics are easy to produce. Responds well to dynamic playing. Can project a lot of volume. I still haven't outgrown it, and I don't see the need to upgrade anytime soon. When that time comes, I expect I'll have to pay a lot more than I did for this one.

what’s the main difference between the puffy series and the normal oblong ones. Is it true that they are named as puffy just because of the exterior material? By the way, 1003 is lighter than 1002, I’m concerned that whether 1003 provides as good protection for my violin as 1002? The internal environment inside 1003 is as stable as in 1002 (for example, humidity)

I love my Core Select hybrid bow. Light but strong. You'd have to try one to see what I mean.

The shoulder rest compartment is awful. You should move the violin down into that space and leave room for the shoulder rest beside the neck of the violin instead. Most of my students use bonmusica shoulder rests. One uses the Slipper rest. One uses Comford. None of those will fit in this poorly designed shoulder rest compartment. So disappointing. I could sell this to so many students if it actually fit their shoulder rests.

What is the competitive price point ??? Do I possibly have to sit down.

I guess if I have to ask I can't afford it.

I bought a aeternum viola case 8 years ago; it was even adjusted for my big viola, for some extra money. But so far so good... I was very proud with my new fancy case and took great care of it: after 8 years it stil looked like new. But last year I wanted the case to be checked by Musafia: I noticed some loosening of the plates (case internally) and while they’re at it having the gilding re-done. So I brought it to the shop where I bought the case. They said it was no problem and sent the case, with my wishes, to Musafia....but Musafia refused! Because I didn’t have the case checked yearly, ... the shop-owner told me he didn’t understand Musafia’s reaction and never heard of this ‘rule’... They explained to Musafia that my case almost looks like new! But they would only do the service if I would pay all the costs...so NADA service! So beware: they are crooks! I am not a famous violist, nor do I own a fancy violin,...but they have treated me very unprofessionally and offered no service. I bought the expensive case for a reason...but all was a sham! Never again!
