Visada us Lietuva, musu tevyne.
So many words are so very much like Slavic ones, while others are quite distinct. A truly surreal feeling for a native speaker of a Slavic language.
Это следы балто-славянской языковой семьи Иронично, но литовский язык ближе к условному древнерусскому чем современный русский по звучанию))
@@egorusrex6761 Balto Slavic is just theory, Slavic words you hear are just borrowings
Slavic words you hear are just borrowings...
@@Oberschutzee Some perhaps, but definitely not most. There are certain phonetic regularities in some of the word pairs that mean it cannot be a borrowing. The root "pard-" meaning "sell", keeps its archaic proto-balto-slavic form, whereas Slavic languages changed many "ar" and "al" syllables to "ra" and "la". This is a relatively late change, it was still active during ths South Slavic migrations, based on how ancient Greek/Latin placenames were changed. Ergo, it cannot be a borrowing.
Wrong illustration - nothing Polish about this song.

this song has nothing to do with poland, it's from the archaic period, possibly even before the grand duchy. Kinda weird to put that in the title
