I have a 1015 that I absolutely love. It needs a bit of tweaking but for the most part, it plays. It certainly is a conversation piece in my home. My hubby converted to a 45 rpm player. Yours is beautiful.

Buffalo NY here, I see the Wurlitzer Factory often, North Tonawanda is only a few miles north of Buffalo. Coincidentally Tonawanda is where the Niland brothers & Warren "Skip" Muck are from. Skip being portrayed in Band of Brothers, 101st Airborne Division, 506th PIR, (Parachute Infantry Regiment).

What I liked about the Seeburg models is that they played sideways without sitting on a turntable ,like Wurlitzer and AMI,which would cause rashes from rubbing against the turntable when the record was placed on the turntable by the retriving sickle.Seeburgs didn't cause that problem to the playing surface.

I just finished restoring the amp and mech on mine. Beautiful survivor with some light history bumps, but nothing worth erasing with a full blown restoration.

Actually the 1500 mechanism is very reliable if restored correctly. I did mine in 1995 and it has been operating perfectly ever since with little attention. The only thing I've had to adjust after it was done for a while is the tone arm set down.

1979 to 2009 is 30 years, not 40.

Just completely rebuilt my hf100r.. was in my garage for 30+ years. Got it inside my basement now, working 100% and looking just as it did 70 years ago

I had a 412 and it was an interesting unit. Someone had painted it and blanked out the coin chutes. I repaired the amp and it worked well

Now it is clear that this just a re-enactment thank you for this.

Ok NOW I understand your video titles. For some time i’ve been rather stupidly confused. Jukeboxes have a kind-of mechanical brain, and memory. They calculate and they perform functions very similar to jumps and subroutines as you find in computer programs. So I’ve been trying to think of just what part of the jukebox is analogous to a BIOS? Today I suddenly realized that you’re not spelling BIOS in all-caps and I feel dumb. 😒

hi brenel made a 14 inch reel to reel deck the 600 a man sold it to me as a parts deck i payed £180 for it note i was told it's one of six they made note the 16 channel pre amp has never been seen on the net ever i have the set i am working on yes some how they get put out there in no where demo model they are only what people will pay out it's the same with tape decks

I love my Wurlitzer OMT on 45. I bought it brand new in 1992, and it's never had an issue.

We had one in our cottage on Lake Emily.

About 34 years ago, I saw an ad for a 1938 jukebox. The seller said that it worked but the audio would suddenly drop off to zero after about one minute. I still wanted to drive down just to see if but my friends told me I was nuts for wanting to make a 100 mile road trip “just to look at an old juke box that had problems.”

Thank you for posting such an amazing program about that amazing jukebox! I love seeing how you laboriously brought something that had long been reduced to old junk and restore it to its former glory.
