In Home CPR
Добавлен 12 ноя 2014
Chris Schlesinger began instructing CPR classes for the American Red Cross in 2008, in their Marin County classroom. Back then, he noticed there were rarely new and expecting parents in these classes, although he knew they could greatly benefit from the information and sense of security such classes could provide. His wife, Margarita, pointed out the obvious: it’s very difficult to travel to a classroom when you’re pregnant or have an infant!

Thank you Paul McCartney
Unskippable adverssujsjjjx
and if there is no equipment around?
Thank you for not having ads online this video unlike others
Loved the ads on this RUclips, I'm not choking but imagine someone dies because you're tryna promote someone's pyramid scheme course
Went from cooking to all of a sudden choking…

Does it actu
The dude in the video looks like Dennis from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
What if you are short and nothing is that low?!
You do not need a chair like said here. Give abdominal thrusts like someone else would
Thank you❤
Like a termite, chocking on a splinter.
Ad before a choking video 😂 Good that it's short
Great advice - could save your life.
imagine having an emergency and youtube puts you two unskippable ads
Some years ago I watched a video, could have been this one, which taught me how to save my life. I am alone a lot, and in my 60’s, female, in Australia. I have needed to do this 3 times on the past couple or so years, and one was very recently. It is not always food but can be a burp after drinking some mineral water and a swallow at the same time, caused my breathing valve to close and I could not breathe at all. Having been n in this situation before and bashed my diaphragm onto the back of a chair a couple or 3 times I could breathe, so did it again. I have even made a video on my own channel for those in an emergency situation as I have done. I teach this to as many people as I can, often, by simply telling them what to do and making sure they remember it!
Good thing I got premium
When My old lady starts to choke on my gummy bear what should I do ?
Wait is it at the ribs or stomach/belly? I don’t wanna crush my ribs unless I need to
Belly -- slightly above your bellybutton.
How there are ad’s on a video like this is beyonddddd me
Question - What to do if you are choking and by yourself? Answer - Have sex with a chair.
they should teach you this in school, was choking just now, but managed to get hold of the top part of the item and after 2 or 3 goes pulled it free! I had no idea you could self heimlich
I find my sword collection to offer far more elegant solutions.
what if you are a pregnant?
Good question! I haven't come across an approved approach for a pregnant woman choking by herself.
this doesn't seem like a good video to have an ad in front of
Also, try to run toward others...at work, run into an open area with people, at home alone..run outside. If choking in your car driving, pull over, and get out of car... people won't know you need help, unless you make it obvious. If you can't dislodge the food, you don't want to pass out alone with no one knowing you need help. So, if you can make yourself visible to others even if you pass out. They can help you, and increase your chance of survival.
Maybe turn off ads for this video so that people seeking emergency advice don’t die so that you can make a quick dime?
me personally, I think, I'll just die
I was drinking a big slug of water a couple weeks ago and breathed it in by mistake or I think that is what happened it was terrifying I couldn't breath it's tough to think rationally I stepped away from my phone tried a couple attempts at the hymlic but I was thinking I should've known how to do it properly I'm still not sure if my epiglottis closed or if the slug of water simply blocked my airway luckily after a minute or so I was able to take small breaths terrifying
I press my abdominal hard enough but I do not feel any air coming out of my mouth.
Don‘t make your abs hard. You have to relax your stomach
Sounds good - thanks. Years ago I started choking on a hard taco shell at Taco Bell, I was getting bad, and then tried eating more, and dislodged my block, it worked - don't know if that's advisable - doing nothing wouldn't have worked
I learned this from Liz Lemon on 30 Rock
I remember doing this with a table several years ago, I felt clever then remembered I was an idiot for eating too much 😂
Shame on youtube for placing ads on something like this
Yeah it happened and i thought what if i was alone
Scoop motion
I got a 15 sec no skip vid and a after 5 sec skip vid stop doing this on medical videos
Intelligent design: make eating hole same as breathing hole!
Evolution is all about effectiveness not efficiency
@PADARM Snakes have a separate breathing hole... but then... I think the devil made those or something, so...
Gey off RUclips ya dickhead
Ah yes i had a two min ad before this in that time i could die 😂
Bro I got an ad while my brother is choking
Thanks good video for the information.
Can no longer call it the Heimlich Maneuver, sorry. It is now called abdominal thrust maneuver. When the American Red Cross introduced back blows to its official guidelines on treating choking, Dr Heimlich disagreed that back blows should be used and asked that his name be removed from the guidelines. Leading to the renaming of the Heimlich manouvre as an Abdominal thrust.
Who else came here to check if RUclips puts ads before vids like this lmao
