This is a slideshow showing some highlights of our Coast to Coast walk over two weeks during May/June 2013. I hope that you find it inspirational as it's an experience that we will never forget.
Well done! We walked Offa's Dyke, too. It was fun seeing the walk from your perspective.
Good walk guys. I'm doing Rudesheim to Koblenz in June (2022) and your pics and commentary are very helpful. One question: I assume you can walk along the heights, as you did, or along the river, nearer the railway line. Thanks in advance.
Just watched this ,great vlog well done
Hi guys! What a great video you have put together here. I especially loved the mapping. I completed the Wales Coastal recently and want to finish the circumnavigation of Wales by Hiking Offas Dyke in December. Do you have a list of the accommodation providers you stayed with/recommend? I found during the WCP that accommodation can be a bit tricky in some spots and thought i would ask. Kind Regards Andy
Thanks for the video! I'm looking to walking Offa's Dyke later this month. Random question, but did you have any problems with cattle? It looks like you walked through several fields of cows. Many thanks
very nice
Very well done - both for the walk and for doing such a good job of this video. I'm off to Chepstow tomorrow to do your day one leg. Hoping to enjoy it as much as you enjoyed your journey.
☺️
Wonderful video. Thanks!
Done it myself a few years ago I know your pain took 2 weeks. Loved every step.. Last day was the hardest finishing even harder wanted to keep going.
Absolutely loved it! Wonderful footage, sound track everything. I was back there. You captured it all. Thank you. Dave aka wackyswanderings 👍
What a brilliant video. I’m looking forward to doing this walk sometime soon. Thanks for sharing!
Just watched this. Your route was very similar to ours but I noticed a couple of deviations, esp. into Florac. You also stayed at some different overnight lodging than us but several of the same. Looks like you had some fun! Especially at the end with the videos.
Hiked this grand ramble in June/July 1994. Brilliant !
Great vid, loved the music, thank you. We leave Oz in 2weeks to do the C2C. We r really looking forward to it .Mick n Kerrie
nice vid , you captured some of the things I missed when we did it a few years ago , I'm doing it again in june without the 45lbs packs , just day sacks and having the heavy stuff carried by Sherpa van ( still doing a bit of camping though ) , your right about it being the best walk too , we met an aussie couple who'd hiked all over the world and they said the same, cant wait to get going now :)
my avatar is me on kidsty pike on the c2c , we hardly saw a thing in the mist and rain , just hope the sun shines this time
Loved this. What a nice experience. Can't wait until we do this in July. The music is wonderful. Thank you.
We're so looking forward to it. We have good boots. One day we will make our way to Australia. Our son went there on an exchange program and we hosted a student from Oz. What a great experience and we're all still in touch.
Great pictures and music. Mac's hikes are great. We did the same thing in Aug/Sept except stopped in Littlebeck between Glaisdale and Robin Hood's Bay. Stayed at 7 of the same places as you. Only 2 rain days but one was Richmond to Inglesby. CP
